Greddy TT kit

Hi, I was wondering how much HP the Greddy TT kit makes and how much the car will have after the installation. Also, will the ATI procharger have a bov and sound like a turbo AND which one is faster?
THanx

Re: Greddy TT kit

I'm getting the GReddy TT installed in the next couple of weeks but as far as particulars, I would check over at My350Z.com as they have a ton of Z's with this kit and a couple of G's and everyone seems very happy.

Re: Greddy TT kit

thanx, and ya i do know that a lot of people have it on their z. I was scared because i heard it will only bring it up to 330 hp, and i expected more than that with a twin turbo kit!

Re: Greddy TT kit

That's supposed to be 330 hp at the wheels. I think that is a great improvement over stock, almost 100 hp. The beauty of this kit is that it has the potential of making 700hp with internal mods. I will probably be stripping the engine next year.

Re: Greddy TT kit

Hmmm...Are you sure it's 700HP with those turbos? GReddy told me when I contacted them that the most they can support is 425HP...I know the PE 1420s can support 625HP, which would of course necessitate the upgrading of internals...That would be killer if the GReddy kit were capable of hitting 700HP

Re: Greddy TT kit

The SSR Engineering TT kit is designed specifically to contour to the G35 making minimal changes and minimal fabrication, producing the most power possible. 400WHP @ 6.4PSI is the highest HP kit on the market (i think). And it is also the most complete kit out there.

Re: Greddy TT kit

I don't remember where I read that but a magazine article that was showing the G35 at the SEMA show said that you could excede 500 rwhp with internal mods. I think that is on the low side because they are only boosting at 5.6psi and getting 330 rwhp so if the boost was cranked up higher I imagine you should be able to do at least better than 500. You would have to do other upgrades as well (fuel delivery, engine management etc.) but I think it could be done, it just depends on how much money you want to spend.

Re: Greddy TT kit

what mods would i have to make to get the turbo kit up to 400 hp
the greddy that is. I have a 6 speed so 280 to 330 is only 50 hp but i can see where you are coming from with an auto

Re: Greddy TT kit

2FAST4U_G35man, you're getting wheel HP and crank HP mixed up. The 6mt G35 coupe is about 230 HP at the wheels, so 330 HP to the wheels is about 100 HP.

Re: Greddy TT kit

You have to remember that 280 is at the flywheel not the final output at the wheels. The output on a stock motor at the wheels is only about 235-240hp.

The engine isn't safe to run much higher than 400hp at the flywheel so 330-340 is the max that you can get safely at the wheels without blowing the internals (although some people are claiming over 400 at the wheels with no problems "yet"). This is taken from information that I have gathered from the different forums and web sites.

To get more than that you will have to change the stock internals (forged connecting rods, low compression forged pistons, etc..) $$$$$$$$$

Re: Greddy TT kit

Ok, I notice on Greddy's website that the kit doesn't specifically specify it's for the G35(only the Z). Will it fit? Also, the Z has a different grill. If this kit does fit, I'm wondering if the radiator will get enough air with the intercooler in the way, especially with our limited grill opening.

Re: Greddy TT kit

The G35 kit is just now being released. The web site is always slow to update this information. The kit that I ordered will be specifically designed for the G35. The intercooler will not cause any problems for the radiator as the air will flow right through it to the rad. The problem is that the metal bumper brace has to be removed from the front of the car. This can be a problem if you get into an accident and your insurance finds out about it. I am going to have a custom support fabricated to replace this piece.

Re: Greddy TT kit

I'd like the Greddy TT with twin intercoolers like the SSR kit in the link below. The SSR kit looks like a nice setup, but I don't like the manifolds they use. Check it out:
