i doubt its the ecu, the kit comes with it for a reason, it works. It is nice to upgrade to a piggyback or stand alone because a car specific tune is always best hands down. Its not the boost that the engine can't handle, its the torque and hp that comes with it. The rods can only handle so much force, so when you get much over 400 whp you are in the red zone. Yeah you may be fine, but there is a big chance of blowing it.

thanks for all of you guys advice. In the future Ill start planning on getting the utec and tuning the car as well as building the bottom end of my car to handle the power just wish it was "CARB" legal...
