There is a lot of thinking that goes into that question. Do you REALLY have the money to make it go fast? Twin Turbo with a built motor will be 20K if you want to do it RIGHT. If you stay under 400 hp at the crank, you can save a lot.
It also depends on WHAT kind of power CURVE you are looking for.
Positive displacement SC (Stillen, others) will give you more low end torque than a centrifugal type (vortec, HKS, PROCharger, others), but will give you more on the top end. Do you want high speed runs or street fun?
TT can give you some of both. Gobs of power, with a little lag and not as much below 2500 rpm, but once you get the twins spooled up, look out.
Look in the FI section; read, read, read then read some more. Ask questions after you do your research. There are probably more guys running FI here than any other G sight. Check out My350Z.com also.

search please. if you think you got enough money saved up for the kit, just save about 3-4k more just incase you need to get little misc. parts here n there cause they add up. but the world of FI is expensive...once you join, theres no going back

Yeh tons of threads on this (I probably started some of them myself)
I've been running a Vortech Supercharger (stock kit out of the box with a custom tune) for 2 years now.
Yeh it adds up, after everything, I'd say I spent around $8k-$9k on the engine for the supercharger and miscellaneous.
There's a lot of threads regarding drivability and having forced induction for an every day driver or to go full out power. I chose my vortech due to engine reliability with the vortech since it is my daily driver.

Check out the FI section at My350Z. It's very informative over there, and those guys have tested just about everything. But you better have some money and like somebody else said be prepared to spend over 20K if you want it done right. If you want a good shop check out GT Motorsports or Forged Performance.
