Performance Radiator or Oil cooler more important for FI

You wont need either.. believe me.. but if you're planning to track I'd suggest a bigger radiator.. brand doesnt matter since most of them are made by the same manufacture and perfromance levels are about the same.. remember its not about how thick the radiator is its about how much surface area you can cover (not that it doesnt matter, just one out weights the other). Go with one thats a direct bolt on or min modding. But dont be in any rush.. if you're doing a direct bolt on you can always do it down the line yourself as its sorta easy to do. But if your job involes pulling the motor then just fork up the $200-$400 ont he radiator since you can hide the labor with the install right now.

An extra qrt of oil will help engine longevity and will help cool. An oil pan allows this. An oil cooler will help this more, and will usually add 1-1.5 qrts. of oil.

In the end, I'm still going to just do it all. After posting this question here and on Z, I've come to the conclusion that I don't think any cooling and safety, no matter what my driving conditions, can be considered a waste. Not in my opinion anyway.

it only sounds good on paper, but the '6 qt' mentality is not all that healthy. over filling isn't uncommon and it's bad for the engine when it happens. I'm not against spacers and bigger pans, but not a priority over cooling, imo.
I've never overfilled my engine. But back to my point, why did you waste your money on buying a $500 upgraded oil pan, if you are not utilizing it?

I'm just kinda excited that I'm finally working again and can save up the money to finally do this. I can't stop asking about things and talking about things. It makes me afraid I'm out to dissappoint myself if anything falls through haha.

But you aren't adding any extra oil are you? So you just bought the pan for the fins--the "pick up" mod can be done even with the stock pan. You aren't using the pan the way APS designed it to be used are you?
