But you aren't adding any extra oil are you? So you just bought the pan for the fins--the "pick up" mod can be done even with the stock pan. You aren't using the pan the way APS designed it to be used are you?
I don't know what else to tell ya, other than that some turbo kits are sensitive to oil levels. especially with the APS TT, and dumping 6+qt is not a good practice

lol. ~$500-$600. I bought from RHDJAPAN.com (a japanese vendor)

Here's one US vendor's link:

http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/a...z-p-19657.html

"The design of the ARC pan is flat, and provides enough clearance for low height vehicles."

hmm. as far as ground clearance. I dunno, but the pan fits nicely under my ARC aluminum underpanel, and never have had a problem bottoming out/scraping, even when lowered. Hope that helps.

EvolutionGSR, we discussed this already and I have first hand experienced and just took care of all my cooling mods, Radiator, Thermostat, Oil/Tranny Coolers, I did them all, its not a waste of money at all for it, trust me, you're headed down a right road buddy, keep it up and good luck

^^ what data did you base your purchases off of? Were you logging 230+ degree water temps? What was your oil temps before and after all the parts were added?

I busted a baller and just did everything possible because I was afraid too blow in any sorts of way even if i wont, i'm just a paranoid person when it comes down to these things Not only that my water temp was a little high the first time I got my car back from a different shop, so I just ended up replacing everything for the hell of it and for the peace of mind. I look at it like this, you spend so much money on FI already, why not spend a little more on safety, cause down the road if something happens and it was because of cooling i or anyone would be pissed as hell!!!

Aisde from what I've said in my pervious post for guys on a budget (you shouldn't be thinking about FI then)

APS Oil Pan - A biggest we have +almost 1.5quart. Includes Fins on the housing for additional cooling and lines integrated on to the pan for your turbo. Cant ask for anythign better.. lots of surface area on the pan = more cooling.. It is $$ tho but well worth it.

Oil Pan Spacer - Bang for the buck. +1 Quart. No agruments here. For the price and function you cant beat it

ARC - Never seen one in person. Too baller for me ._. I'd hope it'll be something like the APS design for that much dough tho

More Oil = More cooling (ups and down to both sides of this but we're in the FI section with the OP asking weather he needs a cooler or not for a Turbo set up - Nothing negative you can say about that)

I dont understand the arugment above.. 6 quarts in an upgraded pan is different then 6 quarts into the stock pan. 6 quarts into the stock pan will cause you to overfill and eventually you'll see your engine start burning it = nono.. it'll cause alot of internal problems including damage to your motor and loss of hp. 6 quarts into an upgrade pan is no problem? you get better cooling, advantages of upgraded pans, ability to add more oil while keeping oil level the same as stock. More cooling with same running conditions = FTW.

No arguing about weather or not oil pan upgrade is good or not for FI O.o especially turbo.

However.. Oil cooler: Necessary = NO.. Doesn't hurt anything to have it either.. by upgrading your radiator you will keep your engine nice and cool.

Edited for the sake of reading.. just wrote a bunch of things that came into mind without thought so I organized it a bit since this is becoming useful thread.

^^^right. So what the *** is deathmage talking about?

He stated that putting 6qrts.. of oil with an aps pan was bad for his turbo, but then said he was going to get a oil cooler which will add 1.5 arts of oil to his setup.??

you'll never see "ARC" thothe front mounts going to be in the way ._. it'll all the same.. just get one that fits the best. or one with the biggest surface area

also no ones mentioned this yet but if your AT and want to upgrade your radiator you'll need to get a trans cooler. so keep that in mind AT guys $$.

lol, I didn't buy the ARC rad to see the letters, I bought it b/c it is a perfect fit on the G coupe and ARC makes some of the best cooling cores in the world.

Other than the new Stillen, I am unaware of any other radiator that is a direct drop in for the G coupe without modification. All other radiators I can think of (Koyo, AMS, etc.) are for the 350z and require some modification to fit the G coupe.

Didnt this company called power enterprise or something make one? also i thought koyo did one? .-.

I some how kinda doubt ARC actually makes their own cores.. if they do then I'm also sure that they supply other manufactures as well..

Fact that Koyo doesnt even make all of their own cores.

Its like buying intercoolers and turbokits.. not everythings made by the compay that puts it together.

Arc makes their own cooling cores. Its what the company is known for. ARC also supplies nismo with its cores.

www.arcinter.co.jp

PE is for the z and so is the koyo, both require slight modification to fit the g coupe
