Get the Vortech / 3.12 pulley to start, you will be upper 300hp to lower 400hp to the wheels. My best pull was about 408 tuned on 98 octaine gas and the Kinetix SSV. I like the linier pull of the Vortech especially with the 5AT, whoever said that the rush of power from a turbo would be to harsh on the Infiniti auto is right. The Auto would not shift right IMO and would need tranny work ASAP to handle it. My Vortech shifts perfect with the 3.12 and I am hitting 9.5 - 10.2 psi (depending on temps)...

I have had my Vortech on since 45k miles and I am not at 86k miles with no issues whatsoever!

I love my Vortech.

I have been supercharged with the stillen from 7/03 till 6/07 and as of 6/07 i have had the greddy twins on for the last 9,000 miles with my at.I put a forged performance vb and a trans cooler and thats it.I think the main thing to watch out for with the auto and turbos is the shock that the trans gets.
I f your cruising down the road at say 40 and you nail it in auto mode it will shock the hell out of the trans. Now if your in manual mode and you select the right gear and not let the trans downshift the trans dosent get shocked and i think thats why my trans has held so long.........and i flush the fluid every 15,000 miles.

SEARCH!!!

For all you people saying TT with 5AT will destroy the tranny, please KNOW WHAT YOU'RE POSTING BEFORE YOU POST IT! It just irritates me when people post completely wrong information.

For a year now I have been boosted (17k miles) with my twin setup and my 5AT. Before the valve body was installed, I didn't have a single problem with my tranny. It acts weird ever since the VB upgrade was done, but no one has figured out exactly what it is..so the tranny might be F'd up or it might not be.

Anyway, with lower numbers and tranny upgrades (VB and tranny cooler) you should be fine! Just don't say because he has an automatic he shouldn't go twins. As long as you stay around 350-400whp/tq you should be set. Just don't go above that, and build the tranny if you want more.

With 10K you can easily get a JWT setup or Greddy. A JWT should run you 9k installed and it's very complete, all you would need is an exhaust and gauges.

Also IMO you should go TT over a S/C. It is just so much more fun to drive and the TQ is right there. I'd never spend that much and get a S/C.

I'm thinking of spending 10k next year on a project too (TT or S/C). Like the OP i'm in the same situation 5 A/T coupe. I've already got the looks and the interior done to my liking, debating between buying a F/I setup or a Ducatti or CBR 1000RR. Tough to decide =(. I gotta wait till the beginning of next year though, oh well I got time to plan it out i guess.

Couldn't agree more, I have a 5AT TT with built tranny and motor and don't have a single problem with it but your def. going to need more than 10k.

reading all these posts from all sites, i was contimplating between the hks and the vortech superchargers. now thanks to the posts, i am definately gonna get the vortech supercharger system and slap on a spearco intercooler and im good to go. given that i only wanna be within the safe range aswell, so im thinking 370 whp 370 wtq tops!

I've seen people with a vortech setup and the kurumaz bumper, I don't know if they had to modify it but I don't think so.
