Realisticlly what would you do? turbo or supercharger a 5at coupe?

Would you build up?
Save more money?
Just go stock?
or Dont waste time get a 6mt?

 

work on exterior maybe....

with 10g...you can get wheels, body, springs and exhaust.

 

Honestly being a car enthusiast and having a 5AT I'd supercharge it and call it a day.

 

I already have wheels and working on springs now thats outside of the budget

If you are looking to make over 400whp....FORGET IT !!!!! and get a 6MT . It cost way to much . A twin turbo maybe the best bet with the AT5.

 

well it all depend on your taste, you want speed go for tt no one will see you your to fast or if you want hot girls go with body kits and 20" wheels. You will be seen and driving slow (lol)

 

Wouldn't a TT be the worst combination for a 5AT since the power build up is not linear and most of the power from turbos occurs at higher RPMs which would pretty hard to shift with a 5AT in time before hitting the redline. It would probably require him to rebuild his tranny and most of the power will be wasted with a stock 5AT. Well that is what I thought at least why a TT might be too harsh on a 5AT.

I would just get a Vortech SC along with some skirts and a front bumper.

may cost you 11k though.. but that sounds like a plan.

SC is (i believe) safer but you can get maybe 420hp out of it... Turbo you have the potential to get 500+ HP. But I believe on a 5at you need to build up your tranny to support a turbo at that HP.
