Using A/C for FI
Using A/C for FI
Just curious if anyone's ever thought of redirecting some cold A/C air into the intake of the motor. It seems that the fan is very powerful and the air temp can blow below 50 degrees. Is it a total waste to think about? Maybe this can spark some discussion. Don't Flame me....it's just a topic

I think of it more of on the lines of NOS, you don't need it all the time. I'm thinking that the amount of air the engine needs, it would probably collapse any A/C supply system. Like sucking the guts out.

Big tube and valve to interior......open at WOT and suck your ear drums out..........250/300 CFM @4,000/6,000 rpm........4-5 CF per second. Roll the window down first.
70F inside vs 100F outside =3% more HP.
Ford has a patent on using seperate AC to chill large volume of water and using a water to air interchanger with recirculating pump, you could drop air to 50F [with 35F chillled water]= 5% more HP.
