supercharger or turbos for AT???
supercharger or turbos for AT???
I bought 04 desert platnium AT a few months ago (The 6 speed was being bought before i could get to it). Big step up from my honda accord. But I want faster and I want 550+ HP . Money's not an issue. I have been looking around and am some what stuck on a stillen stage 3 even though it's not the HP I'm looking for. My question is has anybody put twin turbo's on a AT and was it worth it or am I better of just slapping a SC on . I am currently shopping around for a quality shop to build another motor up for FI. I run hard so I will keep the stock motor in the garage as a back up.
I saw a big brake kit I like that were on a z i believe they were called peerless but i cant find them anywhere???
I plan on the powerhouse amuse titan R1 exhaust but that really is the only thing I am sure of.

Next question is where is there a quality shop in florida I can trust to do a build. I have always worked on all my cars myself(honda's and fords) because anytime i let somebody touch my car something happened , oil leaks or my favorite brakes went out at 90 w/ 90 degree turn ahead
performance factory hands down. Search in the fi section. Questions like this have been answered

I never got the point of running the 5AT with a turbo. In auto mode it's just going to put you in the mid/upper rpms anyway which is usually beyond where your peak tq is which is the big deal everyone makes with getting a turbo. If you use manual mode, then why not just use a real manual?
Now a fast shifting 4 gear TH400 does make a lot of sense with a turbo.
The stock 5AT is slow, won't handle a lot of power/tq for very long, the gear ratios are not consistent ratios, and the gear ratios are still a little on the short side when you start talking about big power

For a AT car. Engine isnt your concern. Its getting that bulletproof tranny. You can dyno it at 600rwhp 600rwtrq but if you dont have solid tranny your going to be running like 13 second quarter miles compared to someone that has a 6mt dual clutch or something.
Im in that boat right now, 13.3 was my best time on the 1/4 but I only got to run it 3 times since ive been boosted. My tranny is completely stock. But if you get a TH400 you will be golden.
