Yea i just dropped the car off at Forged Performance with Sharif and i'm feeling the same way so far. I think the car is in very good hands and he says he'll need ten business days to get the motor torn down to identify the source of the spun bearing. This however is probably the last thing i want to hear seeing as how i have 20 days left before i'm back to iraq....But what can you do. My fingers are crossed and i'll keep everyone updated,

Just be happy that Sharif build that motor...he will stand behind it...hell, he fixed my crank even though I am sure it was not his fault. I am sure this will be a drama free event. Keep us updated

BTW...do you know for sure if you had oil pressure

I see you quoted the famous Dr Philthy... here is another one...

^ that's a good point. No stock oil pressure gauge in the G - just a stupid idiot light that tells you when the motors toast.

Yea, no oil pressure guage in the car, just the shi**Y no oil pressure light and i didn't ever see that. The motor was from forged performance and i am nothing but extremely happy with my experience with sharif up to date. It has taken him a while to get to the car but that's very understandale when you're a shop that everyone wants to use and i drop my car off with a one day notice. I dropped the car off october 14th and the shop was slammed packed (seemed to me) and The last word i got from sharif was that the motor has been pulled and torn down and when he gets back from SEMA then he'll identify the cause of the problem and we'll take it from there.

To answer rcdash's questions, the car was running on a utec that was tuned by sharif for a 350z with very very similar mods and i can't say i didn't run ANY boost as the consensus was to allow a few lbs to build here and there to seat the rings, i wouldn't say i touched near 5lbs maybe 3 times.

Matt, I have seen everything we needed to see. I will call you tomorrow. I had about 300 emails, and 20 phone calls to return today, so I still getting caught up from SEMA. Don't worry!!! Your car arrived without any notice or planning, so we are doing the best we can. Your car is at the best shop this side of the Mississippi.

lol - you're not allowed to say that about your own shop, just because your customer's do! It's not very modest at least

Let us know if there's something to be learned here... Some insight and education without the usual drama would be a refreshing change.

You are in good hands Matt.
