Decided to TT the G and i've gone a bit overboard...

Hey my name is Matt, a few of you guys might know me. I've got an 03 G35 Caribbean Blue. As of right now the mods are as follows
Crawford plenum
underdrive pulleys
Injen cai
Injen true dual exhaust
Z1 resonated test pipes
Grounding kit
and Volk GT-7 19's offset of course

The car is in the shop right now with the following being installed.
-Greddy Twin turbo (18g) w/ greddy FMIC
-Aps dual 3 inch exhaust
-JWT lightweight flywheel and clutch
-Kuruma Z front bumper
-SVRT wastegate relocation kit and open dumps
-Forged performance upgraded oil feed and return lines
-Aam Full return fuel system with rc 650cc injectors and a walbro 255lph pump
-AAM 3inch downpipes
-Aem progressive meth injection kit
-Utec with map sensor and boost selonoid and map selector
-Koyo slimline radiator
-Greddy memory gauges, boost and egt and aem wideband
-Greddy turbo timer

Now for the motor
-Forged Performance VQ35DE build longblock
-Arias Extreme Duty 9.0:1 .020 overbore pistons
-Eagle H Beam Rods w/ ARP bolts
-ARP Main stud kit
-ARP L19 Headstuds
-Nissan Main bearings
-Costworth Thrust Bearings
-HKS Metal Headgasket
-Nissan REV up oil pump
-Nissan Rear Main Seal
-Engine Overhaul Gasket kit
-VQ Rear coolant bypass system
-GTM Turbo cams stage 3
-JWT Spring/Shim kit

I just picked up a metro DD and i will be looking for something to put in there here pretty soon... Any suggestions? I've also had my horrible mirror tint removed and 10% installed.

Now for a part that i need some advice on. I'm sitting on volk-gt7's 19x9front and 19x10.5 in the rear and the volks despite their astronomical price tag have a rediculously sensitive finish and have been compromised so i'm looking at eihter having them taken apart (two peice) and refinished or painted to match the car. I haven't gotten a quote yet for the paint but i have for the refinish and it's 300 per rim plus shipping. I think the painted lips would look pretty good but then again i'm not artistic at all!

I plan to run 4 maps on the utec,
1 low boost without meth 8lbs appx 430whp hopefully!
2 low boost w/meth 8lbs guessing around 450whp
3 High boost and pretty much the max the 18g's can hold ( i think 19lbs)
4 the "valet tune" for those not named Matt who get behind the wheel hahaha 0lbs boost!

I started this out with just a greddy TT kit and stock block but as i thought about it i slowly decided peice by peice to do it right the first time. I'm having all the work done in pensacola at fighters garage where my roomate is the manager. I'm pretty new to forums and i'm not the best at researching so some of my specs may be a bit off and please feel free to correct me or give me advice.

Looks like an awesome build man!

I thought you were a little lower since the last time I saw your ride.

Still overseas?

haha please don't ask me why i'm not going with the haltech or the 20g upgrade! hahah As the title of the thread says, i started this off as just a stock block tt on low boost but i'm a "if you give a mouse a cookie" kinda guy and then before you know it i'm over 20k and still not tuned... I plan to upgrade to the haltech and the 20g's within the next 6months to a year unless i'm completely happy with the utec. I bought the turbo kit used and it came with the utec and all the sensors... I think the utec will be money after sharif gets his hands on it. Basically i'm trying to soften the blow of 20,000 out of my checking account in a week and a half... Especially since i'm home 30 days out of every 120...
On that note anyone on here have experience with both ecu's? utec and haltech and have any imput?

as far as the rims go, thats too expensive. who gave you tha quote? try turbax, they are spread all thru out florida and if you are near one of their locations, they'll come pick up the wheels at your house

no need to upgrade to 20g turbos too much lag and you should be able to get well into the 600rwhp w/ the 18g + meth

as much as i like the utec, its no comparison for the haltec and if you spend 20k already whats another thou or so extra for the haltec and in the long run it will save you money since you'll have to get that tuned. so why spend the extra money on getting it tuned twice. might as well do it right from the get go, which i can tell by your list you are

and another question why not take it to Forged from the first place and let them do everything, that way you will save yourself lots of headaches

Hey Matt, where did you buy our longblock from? Becuase I don't remember selling one to you.

Good luck with the buildup.

And I echo everyone else's thoughts. For a really nice build like this, I would do a Haltech or FCON.
