Thumbs up TT and built motor project

Well guys I thought I'd put up a post for everyone to see the journey I am fixing to take:

IPP built Stage 2 long block with c2 cams
stock intake with 5/8" spacer
SFR tt kit w/ BB 60-1 hifi's
720cc Precision injectors
CJM Stage 2 fuel system
AAM race pump with surge
VB upgrade
Haltech ems with boost controller and (2) o2 sensors, tuned by Hal @ IP
my own custom 3" exhaust
huge trans cooler

That is all I can think of right now. All parts should be arriving in about 10 days or so. I will keep everyone posted on my progress and final tuning results. I am shooting for 600whp or more on pump gas.

Well I started removing the engine today...... and dayum there are alot of sensors on this car....LOL. Got the front core support off and the manifold and assorted sensors off. Still have to get this one on the back of the drivers side cylinder head, cause it is a pita to get off. Will get the rest of the accessories off tomorrow and the remainder of the sensors.

Where do you guys hook the hoist to on these engines?

why are you taking the harness off before the motor is pulled? its easy to leave the harness on while pulling the motor trans as one assembly with the cradle thats what i do of course i have a lift to work with which i'm sure you probalby don't have but if you do or if you have the means to do it this way this is the easiest way to do it. disconnect the ECM and the thin white SMJ from behind the glove blox, undo the grommet behind the IPDM, undo the 3 connectors in front of the IPDM then unclip the harness where its clipped into the body for rouing and throw it on top of the intake its done there adn easier to work with outside of the car. Thats the bulk of harness work in the car aside from the 3 body grounds, 2 by on the B1 timing cover and 1 on the B2 head to the body thats just unclips

heres a picture of how i remove every motor out of an infiniti this happens to be on a 05 g35 coupe.

Yeah I am doing all the work myself. Didnt realize the harness could stay on the motor....LOL. Oh well, I've got most of it off now.

I dont have a lift, doing this in my garage. The turbo kit should be here this week and the motor is almost done as well. The fuel system is on it's way as well.

It is a huge project, but I'm no stranger to this type stuff, just not on imports. But IMO it cant be too much different. I will say that with the front end off, it is a snap getting to everything.

I can safely say that is the worst picture of anything I've ever seen.

My illegitimate 2 year old has taken better picture of him schiting herself.

EDIT: The previous is meant to read exactly how it is typed.. no typos.

Your built engine can probably make 600rwhp but the 5at auto wont take that much power and torque even with the vb and cooler.

+100000. OP if you want above 450 whp you really need a built transmission. SFR has one that you can just order from them for like 3k, and they may hook you up with the price since you got your tt kit from them.
