Mine stripped out and I ended up putting in a 5/8" allen head bolt. I'm sure it won't take long for the threads to strip again.

Do NOT use any more torque then needed!

All you APS guys should be using a Fumoto valve. Put it on once and then never have to worry about washers or overtightening or stripping threads, ever...

I know Raj...I've got to trim down those stupid fins around the plug first.

Ok spoke to my mechanic and he used a Toyota drain plug washer...it has a paper layer on both sides and aluminum in the middle. However, my mechanic made sure even if you buy it at a toyota dealer he said make sure you get the genuine toyota one...some dealers sell aftermarket ones that suck. It should be the 14mm inside diameter washer.

So far it has worked for me and no oil leaks so far.
