Supercharger exhaust
Holes dont just form without a reason. From that pix it looks like he hit something... maybe he's dropped to low (i dont no) or too much salt/snow on the road or even a combination of everything (who knows). Also, that doesnt even look like a coupe borla so I can't say if the sedan's exhaust are crap but I can tell u my borla is perfect and I have no rust or leaks. It all depends on how u take care of the exhaust. IF u know u live in an area that snows then wash the bottom more often.
Borla is crap. I would never buy one from what I've seen.
GeoBau's exhaust has had not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4 BUT 5 holes in it. His resonator first had a hole in it from one of the welds, he got that fixed. Then on another one of the welds. Then in the middle of the resonator, a big hole appeared.
He got that welded up with a piece of metal over it, and then another hole formed somewhere. He got that fixed, and now there is a huge hole somewhere that he isn't even going to fix, looking for a new exhaust.
I would never buy one

sounds like a good enough reason to me.
that's a lot of flaws that should've been caught. maybe just a lemon but yeah, enough to convince me.

He may have hit something for the big hole, but the first time it appeared there was a huge crack in the weld on the BACK of the resonator. No rock/lowering would damage the rear that doesn't come in contact with anything. Also the side welds cracked. He is not lowered. It doesn't snow in Vegas more than 1 day a year.
I would never buy one from seeing his car. Good for you having a good experience, but I still will never buy one.
Oh, and getting a warranty replacement = 4 month wait.
Take care of an exhaust? Are you kidding me? Do you expect people to take it off the car and clean it once a month?

No, I dont expect ppl to take it off but I do expect them to spray off the salt on the bottom of the car with water to prevent RUST if they live in an area with snow. Is that soo hard or unreasonable to ask? Think about it, if u change your oil every 3-4K miles do u not check the oil levels at least twice a month to see if levels are low? It's the same concept... u have to take care of the exhaust as u would the engine if u want it to last long.
As for GeoBau's exhaust, I couldn't find anything bad about the borla exhaust in any of his post (could be wrong) but I did find this:
Also, u first showed a pix of a borla exhaust with a big hole in it and blamed it on crappy borla construction and NOW u say, "He may have hit something for the big hole..."? Coma, u lied about the hole so why should anyone else believe if your statements are truly correct.
I don't doubt there's a hole but there's always a cause and effect and holes don't appear without a reason. If he was able to hit something to get that big hole, is it hard to believe that the cracked weld could have been caused by hitting something on the road too?
Yes, I had good experience from having a borla and so has many others. Maybe GeoBau had the first generation borla and it wasn't up to standard or maybe the sedans do really suck. I can't justify any of the claims but I can say that my coupe borla exhaust is 100% reliable as the first day I put it on 3 years ago (knock on wood, lol).
Sorry to the OP about going off tangent bc no matter what I say there will always be haters.
To the OP, the BEST exhaust for the vortech would be any of the TRUE DUAL exhaust.
Is the Vortech V3 centrifugal?

Yup, I had HKS and I loved it and I kinda wish I still had it. lol!!
I went from HKS to GReddy Evo TT to my current Fast Intentions. The Fast Intentions exhaust works awesome with their hfc's. And it's not too loud either. But if I could go back in time, I would keep my HKS just because it looks and sounds awesome.

All the Vortechs for the G/Z are of the centrifugal design.
Roots style blowers like the Stillen can lose power when adding too much flow to the exhaust chain.

He loves the sound, but doesn't care for the quality of the resonator I can tell you that. You think I'm lying?
I have never cleaned my HKS, my stock, and probably any exhaust for the rest of my life honestly. The big hole may have been caused by a rock. I did say that, but what about the other 4???
Again, you're lucky yours hasn't had any problems but I know from first hand experience his resonator is a POS and I would never buy a Borla from seeing his car. End of story. I don't want to argue with you, I'm stating my opinion and facts about the exhaust I have seen.

this is exactly what i was looking for. getting a v3 vortech soon. i have apex w/ single 3" pipe and was told by the shopt that a dual 2.25" X-config will be the best for my setup. Are they full of it???
