upgrading to the 2.87 serp pulley.

Hey i have a vortech g with all stock pulleys and im puttin out 340rwhp. If i wanted to go with the 2.87 pulley which supposivley gives you 30 rwhp would i need new injectors if im only putting down 370whp. I plan to get the utec and the hks hi pwr exhaust also but do not want to get injectors if not necessary?

im assuming u are running the fmu right now so u can always change the disc out and u should at least upgrade to a 255 walbro fuel pump.

Bigger injectors are a must. I have the 2.87 and 800 cc with Walbro 255 and see 11.5 afr on 91 octane across the curve at 11 psi.

Yes, 440cc injectors and a Walboro. If you do this, you could get rid of the aux. FMU all together.

With the 2.87 not only will you need bigger injectors and fuel pump (recommended), you will also need to get your car tuned unless you want your engine to go BOOM!!

Well, he was asking about going with the 2.87 without upgrading his injectors () so I was assuming that he didn't know.

I knew you had to get the car tuned if u upgraded the pulley. But i read somewhere that you didnt need bigger injectors if you werent above 400whp and i figured i would be around 380, but i figure the injectors are def necessary anyways.

You will max out your injectors or be close to maxing them out. That's just asking for problems. I am right at 400whp and I am running 550cc injectors, Walbro 255 and the 2.87 pulley and my G runs very nicely.
