just went FI and have few problems/questions

the shop who installed my TT on my 2003.5 sedan told me these are the things that have changed:

-when turning the car on, i have to give it a little gas to turn it on most of the time, otherwise if i dont and just turn the key without on the gas pedal sometimes it starts then turns off. he said because of another computer or something i forget. how can i fix this so i dont have to be sitting in the car to turn it on?!

-my dip stick reads empty, he says that means its full now because the oil is lower. so if it doesnt read anything on the stick then i need to fill it up otherwise if it reads empty then it is full. wtf ?? longer stick?

-brand new 4pot/2pot brakes. used for about 350 miles then started to squeek. i blew the dust out like i did before with my old brakes and it stopped the squeeking. but it didnt work this time, and the noise is much more piercing then jsut brake dust or need new pads. these are brand new brakes and pads.

thanks-

APS TT kit the oil level should always be at the low mark.
Whoever told you different doesn't know what they talking about.

I have heard of Utec EMS with 600cc having that issue.
What EMS you running and what size injectors?

If you have very aggressive pads(Track pads) then that is normal until you break em in right or get them up to temperature.

K so your using the unichip then.
Don't know if they have the same issues as the utec has with the 600cc injectors but i think it would since its still a piggyback.

You better start learning how to work on the car yourself.
You will be laughed right off the dealer properties like they did with me
when i went for a TSB issue with my seats and they wouldn't work on
my car cause I had turbo's and mentioned that if they did the work they
would make a notation I had turbo's on the car

Anyone with forced induction should definitely be able to work on their own car- at least with the basic stuff.

Glex, they wouldn't work on your TSB issues with seats because you had turbos? What did they say, the turbo's made your seats go bad?

they just threatened me saying they would make a notation if they did the work about the turbo's not like I cared but still I didn't like the attitude and just pulled my car.

I was shocked I didn't ask them to do anything under the hood and for them to act like really pissed me off. I have always worked on the car myself cause of the attitudes of dealers but when it came to something that was completely separate from what I have done(specially since there was a TSB) I wasn't expecting for them to give me such problems.

I guess it depends on the dealer. I've had electrical-based warranty work done around stuff that was obviously modified, they didn't say anything. Just take it to a different dealer until you find a good one. I don't go to the one I bought mine at...

To the OP, maybe an ECU reflash could help? Mine misses slightly at first startup but it doesn't get anywhere close to stalling. I have the 440CC injectors and an ECU reflash.

/\ Do you you have just a reflash or also have an EMS? I see you are from MD and with a TT so I assume you also have an EMS. Why does AAM always recommend a reflash for everything?

I really wish you would have had Tony at UMS do your mod...

+10 on the dip stick. They are wrong.
How was the brake kit broken in? Did you follow the full procedure?

I have the UTEC. Reflash accomplishes several things I think it's best to ask them rather than a dumb *** like myself try to explain them all. The main reason AFAIK was to get rid of the utec transition and raise rev/speed limits.

They did it when they were tuning after the TT install. It might be custom but I don't know for sure. AAM comp flash?

On a side note it's actually included in their TT kit.

i wish i went to UMS tuning too but dynocomp is so close to my house and i have had other work done there just wanted to keep it there. i drove softly for a bit and went 30 to 15 few times, 45 to 30, 60 to 40 braking.

as far as the gas when starting.. wat do i do about that? they are the 550cc injectors and aps EMS both came with the kit. shouldnt it still work? is it the tune they are messing up?
