2500 brand new Vortech???

Even if it did run that low, lets do some numbers:

-Vortech tuner kit $2500
-Utech EMS $800
-Injectors + fuel pump $700
-Basic supporting mods which you will need to get to 360 whp on a Vortech ~$2000 (ie. exhaust, spacer, test pipes)
- Gauges (a must for forced induction) $1000+
- Tune $600+
- Installation $1000+

And these are all very conservative prices. Doing everything right needs $$$. If he really has great hookups, then that's great for him. But ballpark range for F.I is always 8-10k without doing anything to the internals.

your def not gonna do it for under $8k, unless you find a used kit that comes w/ everything you need and then you install it your self

then, maybe $5k might do it. i know someone who did it for a lot less but he was the exception that proves the rule

Vortech Tuner Kit $4000
UTEC and pressure Sensor $900
Walbro Pump $90
DW 600cc Injectors $550
Installation: $1800
Tuning $500

$7840 for a clean basic safe setup. You don't HAVE to get exhaust and gauges. Of course, this is a good starting point, and you are correct, that most people do get cages, and upgraded clutch/exhaust. But not required.

Not quite
Trans was fine. It sheared a rear-end gear due to the DSS halfsahfts being slightly too short and not fully engaging the gear. This issue has been resolved though. Still on stock 6spd and stock 3.5 diff.
