Are you all running the coolers with the factory cooler in the radiator? If so do you run it after the factory cooler? Or do you run the add on coolers as a stand alone?

Do any of you run the Nismo thermostat? It dropped my motor oil temp ~7c while crusing at 70mph, I'd bet it helps the trans fluid temp too.

I am considering adding a Perma-Cool 18907 external fan control system with the temp probe on the trans cooler and the relay attached to the factory fan that sits behind where the trans cooler sits. Thoughts? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRM-18907/

I run a B&M 70268 7 1/2 in. x 11 in. x 3/4 in after the factory cooler, then I also have a B&M 80277 remote filter, than back into the trans. I run Redline D4 fluid. So far so good, but I need to do a temp sensor to be sure I am good. I dont plan to road race, just a little drag racing and street digs.

I have the upgraded thick Koyo so no stock cooler any longer. Perhaps that was part of the issue. In any case, if you are going to track the car, I would highly recommend something bigger than what you're running.

Remember guys that this cooler probably holds 1.5 - 2 qts of extra fluid, so make sure you triple check ATF levels following the FSM when you're done installing. Running hard 2 qts low is enough to damage the trans. Make sure she's full!
