Greddy 20G vs. APS Extreme TT kits
Which would you guys go with?
My goals are pretty simple:
-"Daily driveability" with boost turned down so I'm pushing 400-450whp
-When feeling saucy, unleash more boost to get 600+whp
-Overbuild the engine/components to support 800-1000whp for better reliability now and future expansion "down the road"
Although I initially wanted the Greddy 20G tuner kit, I'm now heavily leaning toward the APS Extreme since it contains a complete fuel system upgrade to support my goals above.

the APS kit used to be a significantly better kit than the greddy, but frankly because aps now uses cheap chinese turbo's that are non-water cooled and non-true ball bearing, the greddy kit is far superior to the aps kit now.
I wouldn't suggest the Greddy kit either for you though, since 800-1000 whp really isn't attainable with that kit.
I would suggest since you are local, to AAM's custom twin turbo setup. They'll be easily able to upgrade turbo's and what not, with their own kit to meet you top end whp goals.

turbos are the biggest cost of the kits. a pair of new turbos will run ya another 4g's. Its crazy to buy a kit now with plans of upgrading it later. do it right the 1st time!

That's odd. I've heard the APS turbos are good quality. Here's a snippet from 350zmod.com...
"Twin GT30 Series Garrett dual ball bearing turbos (capable of 500hp each!!!)"
It says right there "ball bearing turbos", and from what I've heard the Garrett GT30's are outstanding. Again, I've not done a ton of research but what I've done so far indicates these are of good quality. Please tell me if I'm being misled here...
Thanks,
B

OP, I would def check out the GTM TT kit. its an amazing kit and very easy to upgrade down the line. Also very competitive as far as pricing compared to GReddy or APS
Since when did APS change turbos?
The APS kit has a lot more than the Greddy out of the box but it also costs a lot more.
You can put together a system with the Greddy for 700-800whp no problem.

Garrett=Ball Bearing-Water Sleeved for longetivity and no need for turbo timer
Greddy=Journal Bearing-Non Water sleeved-need turbo timer
It's all about what application you are planning on using it for.
Street-Greddy will be fine
Road Course/Time Attack events and such-Garrett Turbo's will be your best
Personal choice I would go with one of the GTM TT Kits or APS Extreme

I rather run any turbo kit that has Garrett turbos than a Greddy kit.

. i just choose Greddy cause to me it looks like a better system.
Some say it looks like it was put together in high school shop class
