I do not have an experience with nismo thermostat, but by research i read many people says it doesn't help.
I can tell from experience that it DOES help.

Did you installed radiator at same time? Do you know how much did it help? (Beside shows on stock temp meter thing )

Edit: don't get me wrong, I'm trying to make cooling list for myself.

Op, If you are runing v2, have you think about doing oil cooler? And any update?

Yes, I installed a radiator at the same time. I can tell the nismo thermostat does help because I have an coolant gauge which is dead on accurate to the ECU temp. As soon as the thermostat opens my coolant gauge stays dead even at 175 degrees. If I just had a bigger radiator, the gauge wouldn't read at 175, it would read wherever the stock thermostat opens.

That's good to know, thanks.

My mechanic doing the build on my car is a certified Master Nissan Tech. Just the other day I was asking him if this NISMO thermostat made a difference or not. He said yes...in short that thermostat allows the engine to run a full 10 degrees cooler with a stock radiator. Add a larger core radiator and the decrease in temp is more significant. IMO the NISMO thermostat is a must with FI...so is a larger core radiator. You can never have too much cooling.

Thermodynamically all that really solves the situation is to increase the coolant volume by a factor that mimics the power increase.
If you increase by 30%, increase coolant volume by 3-4 quarts.

I drive my vortech revup every day, even in the week of 95 degree weather stuck in chicago traffic with AC on, I have no issues temp stays the same.

Just a tad below halfway on the stock gauge in the dash.
