Fuel setup is just about complete. Heres my fuel bucket masterpiece(about 6 hours worth of work. I can now use an external single pump with the saddle tanks.

-10an fuel line to feed the pump, -6an return


5/8 stainless pipe which will serve as the fuel pickup welded to the -10. I used teflon washers and some sealant to prevent leaks


The pipe doesn't quite go to the bottom because the bucket compresses in the tank. I had to cut all of the inside of the bucket away to get that to fit in there.


Heres the lexus venturi piece(thanks to SP for the idea) far right goes to return line and as the fuel enters there it comes out the middle(into the bucket) and sucks from the far left hose(which goes to the other side of the tank)


And thats it all done.

That's awesome! Great work. With a sedan I have messed around with a number of fuel solutions.

What did you use for sealant? I have tried a few things but nothing seems to last that long.

Also, do you have some more info on that lexus venturi setup? Is that from a specific model or do you have a part number?

Well the teflon washers are more than enough..I just wanted a little but more safety so I put a VERY thin coat between the top washer and the bucket. I used#2 formagasket(permatex) non hardening sealant. I have the part number on the venturi ill have to get it tomorrow. It was 84$ and off of a gs300. I have to mount the pump right under the driverseat up in the frame rail. Ground clearance wont be an issue since the frame will actually hang lower...(same as my monster downpipe on the passenger side)

why didnt you didnt just pump your stock setup into a surge tank an use an external weldon? stock setup is more than capable of keeping a surge filled.

i dont understand why you hacked up the stock bucket. there was no reason to. all you needed was a diffuser on the end of the return line, or even dump it back into the surge

good luck with that setup. hopefully it works and doesnt draw air

Because I dont feel like over doing my fuel setup. By doing the way I did it there will be no air in the system I DONT need all that extra stuff and my magnafuel pump will be more than sufficient to meet all my fuel needs. I got this idea from sound performance who has their Z the same way without issue and all the extra stuff. As long as I dont go under 1/4tank(which I never do) I should be fine..as far as not sucking up air or overheating the fuel.

Got some more work done today...

Cross over is just about done..just need to weld in o2 bungs and figure out what I wanna do for a wastegate


Downpipe started:




Radiator mounted too..seems to fit just about perfect:
