Re: CARB approved FI? Only stillen II?
-The HKS SC kit is CARB approved now.
-Vortech has been in the process for quite some time. They will get it eventually. When is not clear.
- JWT has commited to CARB (very close)
- APS has committed to CARB (probably late next year.?)
So there are more options than just Stillen, some you just need to wait for. But all of the above have or will get CARB approval over the next year or so. IMO.

Do you guys think that the Stillen S/C without the intercooler (Stage One) would damage an engine in the long term or blow an engine in the short term? I know it's hard to say but I want to be safe to say that my car would last 150K + if the Stillen S/C was installed and taken care of properly.

Depends on the amount of time you use the boost!
The real question is how long the stock engine was designed to last and still meet as new specs.
This is not the robust old 3 liter iron block [300zxtt] but a lighter weight already tweeked engine which unlike the other engine wasn't designed to accept super/turbocharging from the beginning.
150,000 miles supercharged might be double reality, we will know in 3-4-5 years.
The legal life of a car [design point] is 100k.....except due to longer engine warranty maybe 140,000 miles was used as the basic life.........unmodified.
Superchargers usually need rebuilding at 50-100k of use depending on minutes of use.

Vortech is CARB approved.
I was talking to a saleman about the Vortech supercharger being street legal in California. He told me it was. Then I told him that their website says it is not legal in California. He replied to me by describing what CARB stood for.
By the way, CARB is short for SCARB. State of California Air Research Board. They say CARB instead of SCARB, cuz SCARB sounds like an STD waiting to be discovered.
