Superchargers help

Okay guys here is my situation. Im stuck between a Stillen SC and a Vortech SC. My question is which one would be more reliable as a daily driver. As of right now i have 41K miles on my 06 G35 Coupe A/T. And can anyone tell me what else i would need for the SC kits?

Thanks

I hear stillen is the most reliable sc but doesn't make to much hp, plus u have to get a new hood for the stollen sc to fit.

But with f/I anything can go wrong at any given time

Haha I'm talking like I have f/I lol

I don't know what model, because I have just recently started doing the reading up on these kits. I'm sure if you search the Market Place in the FI section, you'll find someone who sells these.

http://www.forgedperformance.com/store/home.php?cat=298

check this link out for the transgo kit and you will need a tranny cooler also

stillen s/c you need a new hood

vortech on a non-revup has the 3.33 pulley, but i would upgrade to the 3.12 pulley

Its all about the tune.

Are you talking about the Rev-Up Box Intake on the G35's cause i have one. Im thinking of choosing the Vortech but is it just size between both pulleys??

You do not have the rev up if your car is an automatic.

the difference between the 3.33 and 3.12 is the pulley size - i recommend the 3.12 for sure at a minimum.

For a great primer on the Vortech kit read this post: http://my350z.com/forum/forced-induc...questions.html

There are rev-up and Non Rev-up engines... you have a non rev up.

The Rev up is only in the 2006+ 6MT's...

So you would want a SC kit for a non rev up engine. I am not sure what you are referring to with a rev up air box...

Honestly - i think you have alot more to learn about the car and F/I in general before i would recommend SC'ing your car... I am fairly certain i have seen a Vortech on an automatic before, probably takes some minor modifications i would imagine. Do you have a local shop that you could go and talk with?

What are your power goals?
What is your budget?
What other mods do you have or do you plan to purchase?
