I only hit boost when going uphill, and even then, it hits like 1-2PSI lol. I tend to stay below 0 to get awesome gas mileage. I'm getting about 25-28mpg consistently on my evo.
Built 2.3L stroker w/ GT30 - 400whp/380wtq
Pretty good mileage i'd say.

I just like having the power when I need it, rather than not having it incase I do. I don't look for races, and don't participate even if someone pulls up next to me. I've had a close friend hospitalized when a stupid street racer hit her rear quarter panel and spun her car into a pole.
I don't really see a reason to drive fast. I know my car is fast there's no need to drive like a douchebag. People already think evo drivers are douches, why add fuel to the fire.
400WHP is nothing for an evo, but its more than enough on the street. These 4G63 blocks are nearly bulletproof. A lot of evos are running over 35+ PSI without breaking a sweat, mine is tuned for 25PSI, and the car pulls fast enough without ever hitting peak boost.
Also, my evo is not daily driven. Maybe 1 day out of the week, sometimes 2. And I end up getting only about 20 miles on the odometer each week.

No I wouldn't do it again. I have taken my daily driver and converted mostly for show.
I'm the original owner and switched to a vortech after 7500 Miles and 9 months N/A.
I chose to tilt the scales against all the douchebag mustang and camaro owners wanting to race me. I owned a ProStreet Dart running 10.80's all day in street trim, so don't like to lose. Its by far not the fastest on the road and continues to suprise many unsuspecting import/domestics including diesel trucks when I leave them in the dust.
The supporting mods and seeking perfection in detail is costly on these imports.
I truly enjoy my car and would go different route if starting over.
