Vortech Help.

Hi looking for some more info after reading until my eyes hurt I still have a few questions. As I am having a vortech V3 installed on my 05 coupe a/t I was told to go with the 6oo injectors along with the hdx maf sensor from up rev along with their tune and the warlbro pump.

1st. I would like to get 8 to 9 lbs boost so I think I need the 312 pulley but can not seem to find where to get one and should the belt be ok from vortech or do I need the k060790 79.5 in.

2nd. As far as the up rev system How hard is it to use and reliable? as far as switching between flashes from the cruise control.

3rd. do I need the gtm pulley kit or only if I find belt slippage.

4th. as it is a a/t do I need to mess with the tranny as I am not looking to bang off any hard shifts or chirp tires and I always use the triptronic shifting.

5th. what else should I have on hand befor the install?

Thanks for any help

Almost forgot the motor has 40k miles and runs strong with a 5/16 spacer.

1. Check summitracing.com or vortech's website for the 3.12 pulley. The stock belt may work, but I'd pick up one 1/2" smaller from a local store. You can always return it if you don't need it / keep it in the trunk in case your belt brakes.

2. Osiris is easy for the end-user to use. Map switching is done via the cruise control buttons. There is a decent amount of tuners as well.

3. Probably not.

4. You can get by without a valve body upgrade & external transmission oil cooler, but your tranny will be on borrowed time. I strongly recommend these upgrades.

5. Are you installing it yourself? If so, you should have rubber gloves, something to catch the power steering fluid that will leak out when you move the cooler, some good buddies to keep your spirits up, and a case of beer.

Thanks for the Info.

Why for the valve body upgrade is it for a harder shift
or quicker shift or so the plates will not slip between shifts

I dont have the time to install myself I have jhonies motorsprots
to install and set up the tune.

Anything else I should have on hand?

Why would you remove the power steering cooler? I didn't, I just relocated it.

I have a 3.12 pulley if you want it.

sorry, i assume the OP, unlike you, will actually follow the instructions in the installation manual which have you disconnect one of the hard pipes & reroute it through the core support to aid in the relocation. geez man, don't get pissy because you misread my post.
