Something different

It was decided to move my thread to the FI section I think it's better suited here. You guys know me as the guy that is trying to go 200mph in 1 mile and keeps failing. I wasn't going to post my new FI setup until I knew it was going to work and make good numbers but what the hell here's some photos.

Garrett gt3071r BB turbo with .82 A/R TiAL Turbine Housing

New stainless steel valves

TiAL MV-R 44mm Wastegate

After trying and trying to fit these turbos in a more conventional location we decided to think outside the box and take advantage of not having a fuel tank this is what we came up with.

Down pipes.

There is a long way to go I will post up more photos and information as it moves ahead.

Nice!! What kind of rods? What is the bore 96mm? Are the valves oversize? What cams? Are the heads stock or do they have some port work.... looks like the castings were cleaned up a bit? What Head gasket are you using? That is all of the questions I have for now oh wait what kind of power were you making previously and what MPH in the mile did you achieve?? I do like the out side the box thinking you guys have done for sure.

Oh, I am loving this. Post as many pictures as possible. At first when I saw the S compressor covers I though, where da hell are these going to go, knowing how tight everything is on these cars. Great idea taking the fuel tank out...who needs that anyway.

Interesting so are you using a brand new OEM block or putting the 95.5 pistons in a used block? If putting them in a used block do you just ball hone it and drop them in?

I am going to build another engine this winter and I was going to buy a new OEM block and use my cosworth 95.5 pistons. However I have been getting cheap lately and thinking about reusing my stock block and run a ball hone through it, what do you think??

My last build was a 3.8L my next one will be some what similar to yours using the same rods and cams I have over size valves and a little more port work. So it am curious to see your results of course our turbos are different i have the JWT 850bb and tiny intercoolers. I was also thinking about just using stock heads with the larger cams and selling the big valve heads???

Nice to see you are getting close to 200mph My last build goal was 700-750whp (likely 650-700 with my next engine) and then i was going to try and get to the texas mile and see what it would do so it is nice to see your results.
