Boost, boost, boost! Suggestions please!
Is this 2005
the choices you are listing are pretty much the worst of the worst. The new Kinetix has not been proven because of all of the bogus dynos and the losses people were getting with the SSV so why risk it on a company with a poor track record with intake manifolds for this car also I am not sure if they fixed the welds cracking issues they had. The good news is you would be one of the few people running it because no one else is willing to waste $800 on an intake that might lose power. The Cosworth is good if you want and aftermarket manifold however an intake spacer is all you need for your power goals guys in the 600whp are even using intake spacers with great results. Turbonetics has more issues than just the turbos, they have major heat soaking issues, the piping has been know to crack waste gates have even broken right off and it is common that it over heats the AC system and causes it to blow up. I find it hard to believe you searched very hard this is all info I have gathered from reading mostly on my350z. Also your bad ideas continue with sleeves the failure rate with sleeves on a VQ35 is very high, and it has been proven you wont need them unless you are at least over 700whp XKR made 800whp on a non-sleeved block. Also why even build your engine with a turbonetics or Stillen you won't be able to make much over 400whp anyway.
Seriously if you think I have no idea what I am talking about start a thread on my350Z telling them you plan to run a turbonetics or stillen and a Kinetix manifold then when you build your engine you plan to sleeve it and see if you get the same advice

Welcome to 2010. Keep your stock manifold. Based on what I can tell from your posts, I would talk to Sasha, the guy who designed the Boosted Performance kit and ask about turbo selection. It's a great choice if you're looking to self install or explicitly want a single turbo kit but you do need to pick the right turbo for your application.
Oh and also remember....we are quite a bit nicer over here then my350z when it comes to these type of posts. You would have been that mouse in the field with 100 hawks circling overhead.

Yeah, I read most of the posts over there and over here as well as well as countless google posts. I didn't see the point of posting on 350z, when I could do just as well here, it kind of just shows me that no one wanted to help, but I also had the few of you here who did helps so I appreciate it.
Keith and Gord.....
....SSV....
Stillen....
...Too funny.
OP....Stick to the kits with the best reviews and you will be ok....meaning turbo kit/s. You say you plan on building the motor some day....so get a kit that can make use of the built motor in the future....ie....don't buy the 530bb if you plan to build in the future....buy the 700bb or bigger.
Proven kits..

You really need to do a search....I can tell from your posts that you don't have enough knowledge to get involved with FI at this time. Lack of knowledge can get expensive.

I have a lack of knowledge on these cars. What would take well on other engines doesnt take well on these. vice versa. Its all a learning experience. Not know as much as the seasoned veterans wont stop me from doing this. Also, Building the block is years down the road, its just a thought for now. If Im happy with the power I get from a basic kit ill just stick with it.
Shh
To the OP, you'll never stay happy with a power level when your car is boosted. It isn't a matter of if you want more power, but a matter of when.

Not the kind of question to ask when you're trying to school me on how slow my car is. I thought you said you were a cummings turbo diesel tech? So shouldn't a tech like yourself be able to answer that question?

Are you seriously thread hopping to troll me? I have never does serious work on any type of import engine. A diesel is a totally different type of motor compared to a VQ and the Cummins is designed compression and all to have a turbo bolted on. these engines are not. Asking questions lets you learn things. You need to grasp physics and stop with bench horsepower numbers. It looks like you nothing better to do but than to look over my profile for something to catch me on. Get a life.

I got the info I needed so thank you all for the help. Yall can close this thread or what have you so flaming doesnt ensue.
