the stillen is still a good one just a bit less efficient than the vortech but you should get the one with the intercooler. this thread was deffinatly a complete whaste of everyones time why dont you just start installing it and when you run into a problem or blow something up then come back for advice and start a new thread worth reading.

There would be advantages to a properly sized twin screw, Stillen unfortunately uses a blower that is way to small for a 3.5L The Stillen is fine for a slight bump in power 330whp is going to be pushing it for most Stillen setups.
Even machining down the pulley puts the blower out of its efficiency range and it will blow hot air.

 

Whats the displacement on the stillen?

 

I am not totally versed on them Stillen has never really interested me. But they are actually roots blowers not twin screw. Roots have 3 lobes on each rotor and a twin screw actually has a male and a female rotor twin screw are typically more efficient and have lower intake temps.

It is fairly well documented that it is out of its efficency range in our mid-high rpm range. It would be good for stop light to stop light action though. Just don't expect to get much over 300whp if those are your goals it should be fine

He bought the stage two, so he's intercooled, so he has room to increase more boost and still make more power.

From the looks of it, it might be just a rebadged kenne bell supercharger. I think it would probably cheaper if he just retro'ed on a 2.2-2.4L kenne bell sc to his g35 with air to water intercooler.

If the stillen is at least a 1.8L, then i'm sure he can do around 350whp if he upps the boost.

I made around 370whp on a dynojet and 338whp on a dyno dynamics on my mercedes C32 AMG with the 3.2L v6 and 1.8L IHI SC but at 20psi.

Since the vq35 has higher displacement and compression ratio, i'm sure he can probably at least hit around 350whp if he ups the boost with a smaller sc pulley.

 

I have never seen anyone make more than 330whp even with stage 4, it is an Eaton M62 blower if I recall right and they have a 1.035L displacment.

eaton makes roots type not twin screw. and buddie may be right it looks almost exactly like the m62 which is 62 cu. in. and i think a liter is 61.

 

I looked it up, It is a roots style Eaton M62 and it is a 1.035L blower.
