+1 to bigc's suggestions, definitely start out with the 3.12 pulley. Perhaps look into getting the GTM tensioner pulley?

I also have slight hot start issues with my DW 600cc injectors, also tuned with Osiris. Never really saw it as a big problem, I just give it very little gas and it starts right up.

I'm glad I went with 3.1 first, almost want to put my 2.9 on... can't imagine 3.3 to be honest...

Definitely run the 3.13 to begin with. I just got my setup done and almost got the 2.87 to begin with, but 3.13 provides great power from the get go. Good luck on your build!

I did some more research on 350Z and all the suggestions from Vortech members I decided to go with the 3.12 pulley. Thanks all! I will keep you all updated! Mid-Sept is the target date for install.

Do you really need the UPREV MAF GT at the power levels you will be at with a 3.13 pulley?

^ My MAF maxed out before the car could reach it's full potential, also running the 3.125 pulley. It's my next upgrade.

stock maf is good for 350 engine hp from what I could find. once you start making more power the stock maf cannot read anymore air coming in because the voltage is maxed, so basically your engine doesn't know it's getting more air and you pop because it didn't know to add fuel. makes it hard to tune.

yes you will probably be ok at those power levels, but why take a chance?

I am running stock MAF, mine is not maxed out now at 373 whp/332 ft/lbs at 8.7 psi. My tuner did inform me though that if I choose to run more boost, I should go with the Uprev MAF and retune.

A car that is maxing out the stock MAF can be tuned properly to run safely (like silence's car) so there's not really any issues of taking chances with your motor, even if the stock MAF is being maxed out.

Just from the many setups I have read about, it doesn't seem to be an issue for most, and if you don't plan on going smaller than 3.13, most should be fine running the stock MAF.

Since the original poster plans on upgrading his setup, this would be an ideal modfication for his setup though.

Did you get your Vortech on yet and did you go with the Uprev MAF?

I'm not forced inducted but my power is close to 345whp on a dynojet where a stock 6MT does 220whp. I perpetually monitor a few OBD2 parameters, one being the MAFV, and in 3rd and 4th gear I can get the MAFV all the way up to 4.96V at redline. I'm also running on the same dyno that the OP will be getting his car done at and given his setup I am positive he will easily exceed the stock MAF.

Gabe you have some nice numbers there for a NA set-up. When do you plan on going FI?
