For 100% certain. Most of the technology in the APS single turbo system has been utilised and proven in the APS TT system.

Identical comprehensive fuel system with full fuel return, high volume air cooled baffled oil pan, engine management with ignition timing retard control, same huge air to air intercooler, garrett GT series dual ball bearing water cooled turbo, etc, etc, it's a very complete and safe FI system,

It's my understanding (from the CARB that if you alter the factory cats in any way by either changing the position of the factory Nissan cats or by removing the factory cats and replacing them with after market cats) that's is not possible to apply for a CARB EO on a single turbo system unless the factory Nissan cats are retained in the original factory position, this is not possible to do on the 350Z or G35 imho.

Thanks

For a G35 or 350Z?

The single turbo has not yet been developed for the G35, this will be tested over the coming 4 weeks or so.

Thanks

We have not yet tested the single on the G35 to date so it's impossible to make any sensible comment right now on the G35.

Exclamation ??????????????????????????

I have seen reports here of clutch problems with the stock cars. Would you need to beef up things when you go to 400 RWHP? Seems like the prudent thing to do. How bullet proof is the rear end? Trany? One last question, the location of the turbo worries me. Rocks, cans, bottles, pot holes, (I drive in the country mostly) can do bad things. But the worst (seems to me) would be water. What happens when this thing is glowing cherry red and you hit a puddle of cold water?

This depends on how you treat the car, if you race the car frequently than I would upgrade the clutch for sure.

Are you talking about a man or auto trans?

The rear end seems fine though again if you're racing frequently on slicks than you may need to consider stronger drive shafts.

There's no way that any foreign object can come into conatct with the turbo charger, the turbo is higher than the front cross member and is also protected by a strong steel protection shield, I drive on very rough roads every day and this has never been a problem for me, nor do I ever expect it to be.

Absolutely nothing happens, I driven through roads covered in 6 inches of water and even through loads of snow very slowly and because the turbo charger is not under any load (because you're driving slowly through the water not making any boost) the turbo is not really any hotter than the exhaust system in most instances, I doubt this will ever cause any problem .

Thanks

Peter
