Post SFR G35 T67 Single Turbo system in-depth look

I purchased a Speed Force Racing single turbo kit for my g35, I didn't see many thorough articles/threads on it so i thought id start my own.
purchased as of 11/19/19

The kit is for my 2004 g35 coupe, i have a freshly built 8.5:1 engine going in. I will be doing most of the install with the engine out, all work done by me

I chose to buy this kit because its different. its a top mount single, everything important is made of 304SS and everything just seems to be of good quality and design. (the most important thing to consider going top mount, considering everything is crammed) Also, the company is based in the USA. not bad.

I called speed force and asked if they could do a bare-bones kit with no turbo or waste-gate or bov, and they were happy to set me up with that. going by that, this is going to be a review of the hardware in the kit. not the turbo and accessories and whatnot.

Going with a GTX3582R turbo
Greddy type FV BOV
and a Tial MVS 38mm

Aiming for 550whp. Don't want anymore as I'm trying to keep this car low and stance-ish. don't wanna lose the look of my car.

Will have a full return fuel system as well as Manley rods, Carrillo pistons rev up oil pump and all the vq special goodies. can do a separate write up on that after this is over

Car will be tuned at SOHO motorsports in NC

The turbo is placed in a similar spot to the *$2300 eBay special* kit but speed force claims this kit can push up to 700whp with no flow issues. this means 550 should be smooth sailing with this kit.

will include detailed pictures of the kit as well as dimensions on piping when I receive it.

My car is actually sitting at Speed Force Racing in the process for a full build as we speak. Look forward to the progression of your project. Here is my short build list that Tim is working on.

Looks like a very good kit, how much did a bare-bones version cost if you dont mind me asking? That 2.5 inch up pipe combined with the 3 inch down pipe will definitely land you some good hp. I'm also curious if you'll experience some boost creep being the wastegate is 38mm and only stops one header rather than both. Definitely subbing to this build

it was right around $4500 from them! also, i did consider that with the wastegate, i have a fabricator that lives next door so if i do need a bigger wastegate it should be no hassle getting a bigger flange on there! speedforce runs 38mm synapse wastegates on their builds so im gonna try their reccomendations first before i move to anything else 👍

apologies for any mistakes im on mobile

[UPDATE:]

So i ended up talking to a few people at Real Street and Tim at SFR, Ended up going with a 46MM Precision turbo wastegate.

I'm thinking that should blow off enough exhaust gas from one header instead of going dual WG using both headers.

also, I finally picked up my turbo today! its huge.. will include pics!

Its a GTX3582R Gen-2, 66MM Compressor and 82MM Turbine

as you can tell I'm a fan of Pepsi

Right! I'm rocking 2015 tech still and having no issue (i6 4660k and 980 Ti).
