Has any one modified a Greddy TT to work with a 5AT Tranny?

Hi, I have done many searches to make sure that I am not repeating a thread that has already been done. But I am looking to add forced induction to my car, But its a 5AT. I know, I know, i should have gotten a 6MT but I rushed into it and now im stuck with the auto. I still love the car to death though, its my dream car. Any way, im looking to go with turbocharging because of past experiance with my MR2 turbo. My question is has any one used a Greddy or APS turbo kit on their auto's before. I know that you have to beef up the tranny with the Stillin stuff, and probably upgrade the torque converter. Thank you so much for any input that you may have to offer!!

Greddy no, APS yes. Its suggested but not required to do the Valve body upgrade, either through Level 10 or Stillen. TC upgrade not necessary. However if you chose to do both valve and torque, go with Level 10. Stillen does not do TC upgrade, only valve. PE kit will also work, JWT will release a version for 5AT in Fall. All SC kits will work with 5AT. Note, with valve and TC upgrade will pick-up nearly a full second on 1/4 time.

A whole second faster on the 1/4 mile just by doing the valve body and torque converter? Are you for real? (Maybe I should finally take the plunge!)
Also, where did you here that JWT will do a 5AT TT kit? That is too cool. . .

Ask Tinman, he has a Speed Force TT on his 5AT. Also, Speed Force (San Diego) has installed their TT on a few 35C 5AT (Tim @ 619-328-4012).

Both Tinman and Kamal have the SFR/SSR TT kits and both are 5AT's. Kamal's had his for over a year and still no problems. Neither have the valve body upgades, so as stated before not required.

Thanks so much for the information guys! Kinda sucks that you cant use the Greddy, but Im going to look into the APS and the Speed Force now. I didnt relize that the tranny upgrades accually increased 1/4 times so drasticly. Thanks again!!

WOW, that Speed Force kit looks great, and I love that manifold! I don't know why I have never really looked into them before. Thanks again for all of your help, I'll let you know when I get the kit!
