You can change the pulley and get more boost BUT you have to upgrade the fuel and its really taking the "safe" out of the system.

Steve I was thinking of doing that later down the line but I know deep down I would have to upgrade the internals if I wanted to enjoy the car longer, with the extra power the pulley provides I am sure fatigue would be a bigger issue on the rods.

Thanks for the info!

Question

I was looking at the installation instructions for the Vortech:

http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...s/4nz218im.pdf

On the second page it says the following:

"Although this kit fits 350Z vehicles with an automatic, the transmission
does not upshift at full throttle when driving in “D” (drive) mode.
In order to shift at full throttle, the transmission must be in the “manual
shift” mode and operated by the driver. Vortech makes no claims
as to the reliability of the transmission with the supercharger
installed."

For us automatic guys, do we have to get an L-spec flash from Technosquare (to raise the rev limiter to shift properly)? I just wanted to verify this.

Well as far as I can tell, it does shift up at full throttle but it does get to he very verge of hitting the limiter and I would recoomend the L limited flash and maybe even get the VB upgrade to make the shifts quicker.

Hey guys I gotta 5AT w/ a Vortech and I must say this thing is awesome...I would highly recommend getting the Technosquare L-Spec Flash...It does help with the shifting issue in "D" mode...I went ahead an order the kit for a 2003 6mt and did the TS Reflash and havent seen any problems since...good luck.
