Tony, didn't you have the oil consumption problem? Did you find a dealer to fix it under warranty?

Thanks pdj! I think this is about it for me though, this has become way too expensive for my taste. I couldve put a nice deposit down on a Z06 with all that I've spent but I have no regrets.

Sponger, I had the oil consumption problem and my engine ended up failing. I'm not sure exactly what happened but I assume it threw a rod. Infiniti replaced the engine under warranty before I got the APS kit.

GX, the more i see your hood the more i like it!! i havent taken any liking to most of the aftermarket hoods for our cars (specifically the stillen) but the one you have has really started to grow on me...

Love the Seibon TS hood, its very similar style to TopSecret Wide-body hood. IF your going FI, great to have a vented hood, it will help engine area cool quicker, from all that hot air trapped underneath. ..... My G, is rarely driven. Had it for almost 10months, it only has 1,900 miles. I also have an '01 Lexus GS300 and '90 Celica GT for daily driving.

SR71, I'm going to try and make it.. I'm pretty sure I will though. Sunday I just want to be able to drive the car and feel the difference. The guy working on the install had an emergency today so they couldn't finish. Then tomorrow its going straight from the shop to Hot Import Nights, and I wont get the car back till saturday night. Its kind of frustrating with body work, blowing the engine then 2 weeks on the APS install I really haven't driven my car since early march.

Hey Tony,
Bummer... so no dyno #'s today? You slapping your test pipes back on for dyno, also what size piping is on your nismo exhaust?

No #'s I'm not sure of the piping on the nismo exhaust, hopefully there is less backpressure than the stock exhaust. Test pipes are on so it will be interesting to see what the numbers are, depending on the price I'll go with the APS exhaust when it is released.

Tony just be a little careful if you fit test pipes as this will cause the boost to be too higher than intended and the engine may run on the lean side, please be very careful and check the boost pressure and AFR before you give the engine a spirited run.

Definitely, I'm taking all of the necessary precautions. I've seen a couple of other Z's that are running lean with true duals and test pipes, this is why I'm sticking with the nismo exhaust for now and also doing the water/methanol injection kit. In the mean time I may go see Tuan about getting everything custom tuned.

more bad news, the kit I have has a bad crank angle sensor wire so its a no go for now. We'll have to wait on another one from APS, just my luck

Man that sucks. Do you have to wait for another from APS direct, or can you just get another from an authorized APS dealer?
