Hopefully from another authorized dealer, if not I guess I'll be looking forward to another couple of weeks before everything is up and running.

sorry to hear this. I know how fustrating it must be. All you want to do is just drive the car. I am in the same situation and I too have not driven my car since March. It will probably be late June early July before it is all done. If it is in early July I won't get to drive her much either cause my wife is due with our 2nd child sometime around 07/06.

Damn, how do you deal? Ever think about just selling the car and stop modding? The thought crossed my mind a couple of times last night but I realized everything on these cars are relatively new, its not like modifying a Supra or Evo that has been around for years.

Nothing against the APS kit because I have no regrets by any means but this is the other difference between the two kits, if something goes wrong with the Greddy you can find replacement parts almost immediately. I'm still waiting for the shop to hear back from APS or another vendor to see about replacing the CAS wire.

It is really tuff. My wife drives me to work and picks me up. I live 40 minutes from my job and she is a full time real estate agent.....life sucks right now.

Yeah, I thought about selling it but I quickly put that thought out of my head when I realized that I will get a max of $5000 return on the almost $30K in mods I have. I could have put a very nice dp on a Z06 and the payment would be less than what I pay now. No regrets though, I am happy. If I could do it again, I would have just bought the Z06 or maybe a Viper. Although when I bought my G last year I was not doing as well finacially as I am now. I couldn't afford it last year. The G was in my budget though.

I don't think I will ever sell my G for a very long time....just not worth losing all that money. I will probably buy me another car in 3 years and keep the G. No modding for the next car.....yeah right!

hey tony.. I talked to Lorca at HIN Atlanta and he said that two of the wires on the crank angle sensor were just switched on your kit. They switched the wires and he said the car started up with no problem. He also mentioned trying to dyno today or tomorrow. You might want to give Z1 a call for all the details!

Oh yeah I ended up going to HIN at the last minute and he told me, I was pretty happy about that..I actually got the dyno numbers today.

My baseline dyno originally was 228whp originally and I forget how much torque so please forgive me. The new dyno numbers *drum roll*

without water injection the car is making 415whp and 385lb of torque..and running rich (I haven't seen the dyno, this is just what I was told over the phone) apparently its flat at a 12:1 a/f ratio above 5000rpm.

with water injection its making 406whp but 389lbs of toque..I still havent figured that one out myself. Just for safety reasons though I am still going to run the water injection, how much do you really feel 9hp when you're making 400 at the wheels? Plus its making 4 extra lbs of torque so its not that much of a loss.

Either way I'm very happy with the results, I was expecting between 380whp and 390whp. This is on the 91 octane map as well and I'm not sure how much boost, I'll ask when I go to pick the car up today.

Tony, was that stock psi, and was it tuned? Higher than what I was expecting. All you have is exhaust and test pipes, right? What type of dyno machine was used? .............. Thanks

No tuning, that is on the base map. Those numbers are from a dynojet that will usually dyno a stock 350z at about 222whp to 226whp, and yes just have the nismo exhaust and test pipes, no plenum or true dual exhaust. The guy at the shop said the strangest thing was how rich its running, this is the 5th APS kit they have installed and usually they're running lean with test pipes and true duals but mine is the richest they have seen.

Very nice #'s out of box. I would be very happy with those results. Are you planning to get it tuned for a little more ponies? Future engine mods?

lol Thanks, unfortunately its raining today and rain is in the forecast for the next week, just my luck! So I'll be driving my 240 till it clears up

I'd love to get it tuned but Tuan is the only one I know of that does tuning and that would be a VERY long drive for me. I could throw a true dual exhaust on there and maybe it would lean it out a little bit more..maybe a plenum.

If you decide to get that APS exhaust, whenever it comes out for the G, definitely get Tuan to tune it, Im guessing you'll get another 25-30 ponies. Worth the drive dont you think? ......... Congrats again, cant wait when its my turn.

When do you plan on starting GXC? Tuan did tune one of the cars Z1 did cause it was running dangerously lean, but afterwards that car dyno'd 440whp and the a/f ratio is perfect. From what I understand the shop just sent the piggyback up to tuan and he took care of it from there. I think the APS kit is a little more flexible than some think, with five of the installs I've seen including mine, 3 easily made 400whp and above. If what I'm told is true then I can see how APS made 470whp on their G35 with minor tuning.

Im still planning things out. Im still considering on possibly doing a minor build on my engine ( bottom end with arias pistons, pauter rods, machine block), before the APS install. Unfortunately after reading about APS TT, not going pass 12psi without changing actuators and upgrading fuel system, and not knowing when APS will release those upgrade parts, Im having 2nd thoughts on the engine build. Install may begin in mid June for APS kit only, assuming G35 adapter parts arrive. ......... However Im still thinking about building up engine, and if no resolution to the APS psi Q's solved, there is still a chance I go with SFR TT kit.
