Vortech SC and 05' 6MT Sedan

Has anyone found out if the Vortech SC will work with the 05' 6MT sedan?

Infiniti strengthened the internals with the new 05' motor. I have to assume this is a good thing and would make it an even better candidate for SCing.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Jeff

From what I've read in other posts in the forum I believe you could have put the vortech on the <05 motors without much incident. I'm sure the 05 would be ok, but you always run the chance of bending, breaking something. If I go FI in the future, I will put the vortech on.

Just got a reply from Vortech.

Our kit has been confirmed for the Manual trans 287hp vehicle, but not the 298hp version

I've replied asking if they plan on it or not.

Ok a test vehicle is needed.

We are currently looking for a vehicle in the area to test. Once we have a
vehicle here, we can begin the programming process.

I would but I'm in Canada.

I live 2 blocks away from Vortech but unless the are getting CARB approval I have no plans of putting it on my car. I would also like to keep my warranty.

He just told me 4 days ago that they haven't tuned it for the the 298hp engine yet, waiting on a donor car. They do have one for the 05' 280hp AT though.

Weird, the post above clearly states...
I have a 2005 Infiniti G35 MT6 Sedan, with “Sport” suspension. Will your G35 SC kit fit my car?

Maybe another call into Vortec would be prudent. G8tor20 called them and they told him there is DEFINITELY a Vortec ready for the 2005 5AT's. Could this be because they have the same engine as the 2004's?

Yah, this says they released it for the auto, it does not mention the 298hp 6MT engine.

Flywheel horsepower: stock-- (HP/TQ) 280/270;
These specs are the auto...
