It was amazing! The car just pulls strong in every gear. 5th gear pulls like it did in 3rd in my NA car and I would keep shifting out of 6th thinking I could go one more gear up. What a beast!

On my way home through Indiana I got pulled over by a Statey for accelerating too fast out of the toll plaza. I guess he followed me for a few miles waiting for me to take off again but I stayed around the limit without even knowing he was following me. The typical question from him "Why do you think I pulled you over?" I told him I had no clue and he said, "Well you drove out of the toll booth plaza like a bat out of hell!" He took my license and reg. for a few minutes came back and gave me a warning for excessive. Excessive what? Anyway, he went on to ask about my car and how much hp I was running. I showed him the receipt from GRD and that I just got it done. He agreed that if he had this toy he'd run it very hard as well. I offered him a quick ride but he said he had an overnight shift and would have to wait for another time. He said, "Next time you're out, drive it like that when we're not watching". I thanked him for the warning and took off "like a bat out of hell", just kiddin'. Luckily he was pretty cool about it.

I just want to say the car is just awesome. Everything and more than I imagined with the TT. Anyone considering must drive to GRD to get a ride in Tuan's Z or even drive it. It sells the TT by itself.

 

sweet.. i cant wait to get mine done..does tuan have generic tunes on hand? like could i send him my unichip and could he give me a tune for all the mods i have like .. testpipes/ pulleys/ hks true dual. jwt clutch and flywheel..... aam wants to charge 499 for a damn tune.. haha how much was your tune?

 

I'm not sure, give them a call. Their website is grdperformance.com. As far as tuning price, I don't know that either because I got the package deal.

 

Nice to see the Indiana State Trooper go easy on ya. Whew!

A few years ago, my uncle was stopped at a light in Phoenix in his [heavily-massaged] Chevelle when an Arizona State Trooper in a pursuit car pulled up next to him on the left. (My uncle was on his way home from a race.) The Trooper motioned for my uncle to roll down his driver-side window. Long story short, they raced on the green light, and my uncle blew his doors off! They pulled over and spoke for a bit more on the side of the road, after which the Trooper drove away with a wave and a smile, none the worse for wear. Go figure...

Are you running stock internals on the kit? Also, is GRD's 350Z still running well without a build up?

Yes stock for me and GRD. GRD is running 500whp for over 11,000 miles now.
