The AT 05's still have redline at 6800, I think. So, I reflashed mine. We don't yet know the need for the 05 MT as nobody has one yet.

Yes and no. It is supposed to be removable and Vortech has redesigned the air filter to be smaller than before (at least for the G35's) but even with the redesign it would be super tight and hard to remove it w/o removing the front brace or the blower itself.

G8tor20 and I had CP Racing do a little trim work on our fiberglass reinforcement piece and they cut a little access channel so that our air filters are easily removed. This will make cleaning the a/f a 1 minute removal and reinstall. Now if we could just do the same for the pulley tightening operation...

Jason, did you take any pictures of the trim work? If so, post them here and help this guy out.

I'll try and post a video of it somewhere....
So the cats are good? My Nismo exhaust sounded great with those Crawfords.

The cats actually had pretty big slits (open holes) at the attatchment joint. The installer had to weld them shut again. And one of the bungs completely screwed up my O2 sesnor when we tried to screw it back in. The threads inside the bung were messed up. We had to put a spacer in there and use another o2 sensor (they swapped them and would re-thread mine later). Almost had to put the stock ones back on but the installer took care of it all....and all is good!

Geez, I don't get it. Everything was fine when they were on my car. Sorry it was a hassle to get them installed. I wonder if GRD somehow damaged them but I didn't notice anything. If I would of known, I wouldn't of sent them to you.

Its okay....I didn't expect perfect cats...or else I would have gotten them new. They were able to patch them up and they are good to go (and no rattling either)

My installer did say whoever installed / uninstalled them messed up the bung badly. The I should have taken a pic of the slits though...forogt to do that

Well it's time.... I'm set to place my order for Vortech.

Superchargers 4 Less quoted the 4NZ218-038SQ (polished) system for $4629.

Is this a "best" price or does anyone know of one better? Has anyone delt with Superchargers 4 Less?

Call CP Racing at 1-877-cprace-1 and tell them Neffster sent you. They will beat that price for sure. (Ask for DJ)

Also, if you can send them a check or a money order make sure to tell them. They can give you a better price with a check/money order because if you use VISA it adds on 2.9% or about $135.00.

I’m aware of the issue with the AT not down shifting fast enough when pushing the car to full throttle (needing to go the manual mode), but is this an issue when the car would normally down shift during normal urban driving? This is my primary car and I’m looking to boost performance for fun, not for racing etc. so I want to make sure Vortech is the right choice.

Looking forward for input…
for all of your answers regarding this exact subject, check out www.dfwg35.com and ask Tommy. He has one of the fastest SC'ed G's out there and he's AT. He runs 12.7 in the 1/4 mile and he's on stock wheels and suspension...he has the ultimate sleeper.

Well the car is done and what a blast!!!
The only thing I notice is that the BOV hisses at low rpms when just driving normally around town up to about 40mph. Is that normal? When I jump on it, the hiss stops untill I come off the throttle and get the whooosh which is what I would expect.
