350z PE radiator installed on my G
350z PE radiator installed on my G
I just had a Power Enterprises radiator installed in my G after I discovered that my stock radiator had a hole in it. I was going install an after market radiator anyway, but I was waiting for one to hit the market that was specifically for the G. Unfortunatley I needed one now so I had the 350z PE modified to work on the G. The only fabrication that needed to be done was to extend the top mounting brackets. Unlike the Koyo, the fan blades and the shroud did not need to be cut in order to fit. IMO changing to an after market radiator with FI kits is a must, especially in Miaimi. Thanks to www.forgedinternals.com for a great price and fast shipping.

I sold the Koyo a few weeks ago. I didn't want to hack up the fan blades and shroud in order to make it fit. Mark from SGP recommended the PE. He says it is a better than the koyo and that a lot of people are using the koyo just cause it is cheap.

Keep an eye on the temp gauge, until you confirm the cooling system was throughly purged of the air bubbles.

, well I redlined 1st and 2nd like twice
), and sat in heavy traffic on South Beach for about 1 hour. So far real good. The temp gauge stays pegged on the tick just below the halfway mark. BTW, getting my custom exhaust installed in about 3 hours....can't fuking wait!

Great job! It's too bad that there isn't an aftermarket radiator for our Gs yet. Just to be clear... If you do decide to buy the Koyo, it's not necessary to modify the fan blades. In my opinion, if you do, you are reducing the amount of cooling capabilities of the fan. With a good amount of filing, you can recess the fan housing enough so you don't need to reduce the size of the fan blades.

Look at where I am pointing on the picture that shows the right side of the radiator. That metal bracket that has a 90 degree angle did not come with the radiator and was fabricated. If you look to the right of the bracket you will see a scratch. That is where the locking pin is located for the 350z. That pin was cut off, the brackets were fabricated, and the pin was welded back on the new bracket.
