Question about any lightened-flywheel problems
Has anyone with an aftermarket lightened flywheel had problems with vibration due to harmonics or with a herky-jerky ride as a result of having less of a flywheel effect to smooth things out? Do you think the mod is worth the expense in terms of improved driving feel? I'm considering this for the future, but wouldn't want to cause mechanical problems to the engine as a result of loss of harmonic damping from a heavier flywheel.

I've got nearly 22k on mine and all is well..

IMO I don't think a lightened flywheel is a worthy mod. I spent 400 bucks on my flywheel and didn't really get any added power. It revs like a deamon but it won't really do much else.

Several people in TX have had problems with the aftermarket flywheel bolts backing out and ruining the clutch, flywheel and pressure plate. The speculation was that the chatter/vibration makes the bolts wiggle out if they're not properly torqued down. Make sure to torque the flywheel bolts as recommended, wait 20 minutes and then retorque them accordingly.
Some people even recommend using blue loctite to keep the bolts from backing out.
Other than that, it's a fun mod and it did not change my 1/4 mile time at all. It added 0.1 second to my 60' time (cuz I suck) but the ET was identical. Bracket Racing... here I come.

It is a great mod if you are going to be tracking the car. Otherwise, unless you do some spirited driving on twisty roads with performance shifting up and down....spend the money someplace else.
...for about 2k miles I felt a huge difference, but now its just eeh.
maybe I just got used to it.
Its cheaper than the stock parts if you go with the JWT setup. So if nothing else that's a decent reason to go with the mod when it comes time for a new clutch.
