Vortech SC on auto coupe

Just have a few questions. I just installed the stillen valve body upgrade in a customers car. Car shifts awesome now. My question is though he wants to SC the car now. He talked to stillen and of course they told him the vortech kit wont work on his car. He really doesnt want to change his hood either. So is there really any reason the kit wont work on his car? With the valve body kit I dont see a problem. Thanks for the help.

Cool

I think Stillen just wants to sell you their SC!

The only thing I know of that the Vortech won't fit on is the new MT motors with the variable valve timing / covers.

If the auto has a mechanical fan, then it the vortech won't fit unless you convert to electric fans. Do a search though its been talked about many times.

Ummm...that was my point.

There are plenty of AT's with the Vortech installed and the valve body kit can only help.

Are you sure about the stock fan not working? G8tor20 has a Vortech S/C on his 2005 5AT coupe and I don't remember him having another fan swapped out. I was there for the install too.

The only upgrades he got was a tranny cooler... I'm thinking the above info isn't exactly right.

the valve body just helps it shift harder and faster, and as far as i am aware, the mechanical fan that the autos have up front gets in the way of the vortech and the turbonetics ST.

just switch to an electric fan mounted on the back of the radiator and all should be well....

The AT Coupes have factory electric fans. Only the 03/03.5 AT Sedans have the engine driven fan.
