stillen belt squeal

for those of you with the stillen supercharger, i was wondering if you guys had a squeal or squeak coming from the belts when accelerating a little. I had a problem wiht the belts squealing about a month ago and got the belt tightened. it was good for about a month but something now squeaks continuoulsy when i accelerate but theres no sound when i idle. do i just need to tighten my belts again to get rid of the sound or is it something else thats causing the sound? thanks

mine has always been the rerouted belt for the power steering also check the small sc belt it only seems to last about 6 to 8000 miles.

Hahaha, this is the most common complaint I have, and get with this Stillen SC kit. The belts and the pullies are always squeeking, squeeling, and braking. With this type of belt set up, it is, and always will be a never ending battle.

found the problem =]

Well, after tightening all the belts, the sound never went away. it actually came around quite randomly, like cold or warm, it would kind of squeak, though the sound was only audible at low rpms and speeds and accelerating slowly. I decided to take the car into stillen and had Sam take a look at it. It turns out the flat belt idler pulley was worn and was causing the noise. They replaced it and the sounds gone now =]. So i guess thats just something else for those who have the stillen to look out for.

I have the ATI Procharger and I have the same damn squeal when I start the car. If its sold out moist out its loud and last longer but goes away. Its from the Power Steering pulley it's so annoying. My pulley is fine the belt is brand new and I cant tighten it much more.
