JWT twins on my 5AT by VRT.
Here's my oil cooler thread. The tranny and power steering coolers seem to be working fine but the oil cooler doesn't seem to be getting the job done. I'm probably going to relocate it this weekend and see what happens.

Looking at the posts on my350z nobody liking the Stillen VB. Most of those guys are looking for over 450whp and want to chirp their wheels in 1-3 gears. This'll be my daily driver and was gonna do a conservative tune 6-7.5psi...so thinkin the Stillen VB might work. and i dont think you can redo your VB after you've upgraded...so gotta get it right the first time.

I got the Forged Internals version of the VB and it's way aggressive. Nice at the track, but honestly it kind of ruins it for around the town driving. It definitely chirps second and third though, even on drag radials.

I'm only running mid 13s at the drag strip but that's mostly because of not being to get traction because of all of the negative camber that I'm running. My car is really set up for road courses.
In full auto mode it still shifts hard but it's tolerable if you keep the RPMs low.

do you even think VB upgrade is necessary... if i'm running a conservative map? sounds like you were pretty happy w/ the initial install...

400whp sounds nice but i'll be happy w/ 360whp
Sorry for the late response. I was extremely happy with the initial result. I may be looking to swich out my VB with someone that wants the upgrade. There is something to be said for chirping second and third, but I don't drag race enough to really enjoy it. At stock boost I'm making 360whp and that's plenty for the street. To be honest I can't really feel much difference between 6 pounds of boost and 9 pounds.
Didn't do a TC. I was scared that it might make it shift even harder. I had one of the first upgraded VB units from Sharif. I suspect that he may have toned down the aggressiveness a bit.
That may be true, if you're ever back down at VRT let me know I can swing down and let you feel the Edge TC. It rides pretty smooth in auto, I can chirp 2nd and somtimes 3rd when I get aggressive.
Was the Edge Racing converter a whole new unit, or did they modify yours? I've been waiting for someone to come up with a complete aftermarket unit so that I can swap my stock one back in in case I don't like it.

I originally had a L10 no core needed TC, but it started to make a humming type noise after some hard lanuches. Happy I was able to keep my core.
Talked to Andre at Edge again, (who I had already started to talk to in case L10 didn't come thru) about the noise and around town driveability and from that he got what he needed to mod mine. Turn around was 2-3 days and it was down at VRT waiting for me. Edge has done a few RE5R05A converters and knows their are several different specs for the TC and stall speeds.
I have since launched it hard with no humming noises as a result, so it's holding up to some punishment. Again, if you're in town or if I'm out your way I'd be happy to let take it for a spin.
