Need help deciding...SC or TT
Unlikethe others that have been very anti 16Niss this one was more for Ivory's convenience. Hey if he wants to go to GS more power to him, if it's close ot him and easy awesome, but from a logistics standpoint, if you are in Irving......go to Alamo, with gas being ridiculous it just makes logical sense. If you are in Addison.....go to Velocity, once again the logistics make sense. Just try to give options for the install to account for convenience as well as quality.
But yeah most likely this humble suggestion will reign sure and instant death on this thread as it has claimed so many before it.
and BTW I think the Greddy TT is a great choice for FI you'll enjoy it Ivory!

That would be the highest factor on my list ... whether or not the shop has a proven track record of installs on G/Z cars, then aftermarket FI installs in general, then cost, then location.
I don't have enough experience with any shops in DFW to make an informed recommendation. I've spent more time at Grubbs Infiniti than any other shop but based on the stealership prices I wouldn't normally recommend them. If you have been to GS Motorsports and met German and understand that he is old school and does not use air tools etc. but also understand that he is mechanic with tons of experience and you are still comfortable with him doing the install then those are the main factors I would look at. I think he charges a very fair price for the work he does. He doesn't have an in-shop dyno so he can't necessarily do the tuning on the spot...
Brice at Alamo can do a bad *** install and is one of the best tuners around so that is an all in one package, no seperate tunes, you put it in it comes out ready to go. Also the Velocity guys do great work, Jotech is pricey and has mixed reviews. My point is that there are plenty of qualified tuners and shops in the DFW area to only mention the one and only GS Motorsports and no one else is ridiculous.
To be honest I have been out of moding for a while so I don't keep up with the shops anymore....Then I ran into GS which helped my put on my Tein Basics. Everysince then when he took me for a ride in the sylvia I was impressed. So every since then I have been going to him cause he is good at what he does.

Fair enough I am just an equal opportunity suggestor I guess and the Team 16Niss guys have bad tunnel vision of their sponsors so it's easy to miss good shops when you get bombarded with that kind of propaganda. Since you live in Irving consider Alamo Autosports for the tune. Schedula an appointment with Brice and he will tune the last drop out of your car. He is good at what he does as well and that included 22 different fuel injection systems on 8+ different standalone ECU programs. Look them up cuz they are like right near you.
i agree with hyperlite up there....its always better to take the advise of an "equal opportunity suggestor" than someone who is obligated to suggest a shop.
From my experience, people who buy a part or have one installed somewhere automatically become loyal simply because they have said part or had work done at said location.
I've been to Velocity (which is pretty good), FIS in McKinney (also very good) and to be honest, there are plenty of good qualified shops in the area (ie texas) that you should choose something that isnt too far out of the way because you'll probably be making several trips there
dont be bullied into s shop because someone helped you with a suspension install (cake walk)....at the end of the day, its your car, your money, your decision
