Vortech For Dummies.I got the full kit. What else do you recommend?
Before anyone pipes in...I know this has been discussed many times and I have already searched for a while. My problem is that I don't know much about any of this stuff so none of it really makes any sense. I have the Vortech full kit.
What else is recommended? Which types of gauges are recommended? Fuel return system necessary? I don't mind spending a few extra $$$'s to make the Vortech perform better but I still want to be on the safe side and not over-work the engine.
When I get the kit installed, I want to have everything else purchased so I don't have to add much on later. All help is appreciated in advance!

if you have the full kit, then you don't need a fuel system. The stock vortech system is good enough for awhile until you get into much higher power levels.
most important is find a good tuner and installer or good shop
If you have a full kit, the only things you should get are a boost, A/F, and oil temp gauge. After that an EGT and oil pressure gauge (I can't believe the G35 doesn't have an oil pressure gauge) If you want to be safer, you'll get some gauges otherwise your engine can be in pain and you won't know until it's too late.
a koyo V-core 36mm radiator is not a bad idea, but not needed.
I'd also recommend the APS oil pan. The JWT spacer is a cheap solution that works, but I'd rather save up the money for the APS pan

holds more oil... cause you gonna need oil to recirculate through not only your motor but also your vortech to keep it lubed and cooled
so this way you have the 5 quarts for the motor and an extra quart or two for the lines and vortech itself... again i could be wrong

the vortech blower blower uses the engine oil to cool itself.
The APS and other oil pans have baffles to help prevent any oil starvation during cornering as well as heat fins to help cool the oil better than the stock pan. Also holding more oil means you have more headroom in case you burn up some oil and takes longer to heat up

Valve body upgrade, high stall TC (assuming 5at?)... I'd get high flow cats if you don't have them already. Also make sure the kit comes with the Gates belt, if not, buy it additionally. And don't worry by the time you get it installed you'll know all about it
oil cooler, alot of gauges, wideband o2,nismo thermostat, vented hood but most import. TUNING~!! make sure you tune it perfect~! aftermarket radiator would be a good idea, i highly recom. getting one such as koyo. trust me with all these installed your car will be running very hot so keep it cool.

what about the intake? i've seen some people still use an injen cai...is that possible or do you have to cut it to make it fit? what is the benefit of that over what the kit gives you?
That's probably one person and it was Randy's G. He had his custom made by Injen. It's more for looks than anything. That only thing you would have to get is a good install/tune and JWT oil pan spacer. Randy didn't even have gauges for his Vortech for 20k+ miles, till he sold the car.
