Nissan won't make the same mistake again with the Z.

how does mitsubishi constantly keep spitting out evo's at the same price as the 350z? what am i missing? the srt-4, wrx sti, affordable turbo cars that have the same components of their base sister models, but with added power, and a few other benefits. i'm just saying, keep the z - the z, just put a factory turbo engine in it.

$15K Impreza + $10K engine upgrade + $5K AWD = $30K STI
$15K Lancer + $10K engine upgrade + $5K AWD = $30K Evo
$35K 350Z + $10K engine upgrade = $45K = priced too high to sell in volume
Ok.. so it's oversimplified... but you should be getting the basic idea.
Again, FI killed the 300ZX, so why do you think Nissan would repeat the same mistake? They're keeping the price down to sell in VOLUME.
If you want a 350Z TT, go buy a 350Z and bolt on your own or pony up for a GT-R.

actually
14k neon + 6k upgrade = 20k srt-4
24k wrx + 9k upgrade = 33k sti
14k lancer + 16k upgrade = 30k evo
27k 350z + 10k upgrade = 37k nismo z
i got your point though... my point was, we slap on an aftermarket turbo, for what 6k (tn s/t)? if they could just design an engine and mass produce, it is just an engine upgrade, that's all. don't make it more than it is... if nissan designs it from factory, wouldn't be cheaper than a 4k upgrade?
i'm not talking about putting on brembos, or awd, or sparco seats, etc... like the 16k upgrade for the evo...
i was more or less referring to 6k upgrade for the neon, but minus all of the extra stuff that dodge put on (brakes, suspension, seats). i don't see it costing too much...
i want my cake and eat it.
but yes, i'm considering purchasing a gt-r, it goes faster than my wife's 911 (or so the magazines keep telling me).

There was an Infiniti G50 from 1990-1996. It was a 4.5L v8.
ugly sedan even during that time. I don't see why they can't bring it back as a coupe.
Remember the 2003 M45? I think it was only out for a year. Then came back out as the nicer rounded M45 we see now.
