G37tt awd convertible

i can't wait for nissan to meet my every demand... this would be a nice weekend car to take the wife out.

anybody think they can pull this off without making it look like the too ugly 'we-aborted-too-late-so-let's-name-it-anyway' convertible 350z?

Never been a fan of convertibles. A G37TT would be nice though.

And I agree, Nissan completely ruined the aggresive lines of the 350Z with the convertible. But I would assume if the G37 were hardtop, it really wouldn't be an issue.

Nothing but a pipe dream... The car would be way TOO heavy to even have any fun in, not to mention the body flex when that AWD is doing it's thing!

oh i'm not considering this an exotic sports car, by any means... that's what my gt-r will be for.

i'm just considering some fun on the weekends with the wife. and i think that the more powerful engine (detuned if possible), a drop top, and awd will more or less guarantee that i could go just about anywhere for a few days, and have a little fun getting there/back.

Infiniti would be stupid not to make the convertible.

I agree with the too heavy with AWD comment.
3 series convertibles are hardtop but they don't offer the AWD.

A4 convertibles are AWD but no hardtop.

Gotta give or take.

It's a discussion doucebag. The OP isn't offering up speculations, hearsay or pictures, he is asking a question.

I found it quite entertaining taking a break from work.

AWD confirmed

The G37 AWD is coming, you can order it today, i just stopped at a dealer friday and he had a spec sheet and pre-order guide. If i wanted i could have put in an order- he said delivery would be mid 2009.

So we have 2 of the 3 from this original post- a confirmed hardtop vert and an AWD, which fights 2 more levels BMW makes, but still no M3 fighter....

Even if they kept a TT around 400 hp and 55k, i think it might eat a little into the GTRs turf, I am not convinved this is why, but for some reason they have not seen fit to put a model in between the G37 and the GTR.

(no mention of curb weight for the AWD, i tried....)

With the high price and limited numbers of the R35s giving owners exclusivity, not to mention the thing was literally built on the track, I don't think so.

A G37tt would just be a nice, fast coupe for everybody else who wants an R35 but can't exactly get their hands on one or just can't afford a 80k+ track car.

This isn't like Honda putting a better engine in their lighter, cheaper, better handling, similarly equipped Civic Si than the engine in Acura's RSX... a G37 will never be able to cut into GTR sales no matter what they put in the car until they build, and test it at a track...

G37TT convertible? No, its never going to happen. That is rediculous.

While nissan is at it why not a g56TTT hardtop convertible.
