Smile '09 G-37 Sedan with JATCO 7-Speed

News that Infiniti was putting the 3.7 engine AND the 7-speed transmission in the G for '09 gave me pause for thought. I've owned SAAB's, BMW's, and, presently, an '05 MB-C320 4Matic. Wife's '99 9-5 is ready to be traded.

The "upgrades" on the '09 G make this a serious contender for me as reliabillity, cost (why spend $10k more for a 335i) and styling are great. Could any of you "chime in" on the following.

1.) Any guess on increased mileage with the 3.7 (G-Coupe picked up 1mpg
city while being 200lbs heavier) and the 7-speed auto trans?
2.) What is your opinion, in general, of Infinity's dealer setup. The one I
would use has had an "Award of Excellence" rating for some years).
3.) Does Infinity really listen if there is a problem?
4.) Any comments on the AWD rear biased system?

Thanks and hope I posted this in the right place as I am, as my name suggest, new to the marque and this site. This is one great technological "tour de force" and shoud give Acrua and Lexus a heads up not to mention the European makes as well.

I have nothing but good things to say about Infiniti service and support. They go above and beyond to help you out with a problem on your car, and they haven't tried to defer blame on me yet. Plus they have a great loaner program.

They actually give you g sedans instead of some cheap rent-a-car.

1. maybe 1-2 MPG fwy, probably the same city. Purely speculation on my part.
2. It is excellent.
3. Yes. Please voice your opinion to Infiniti DIRECTLY, not to the public.
4. Drive it to experience it; it is electronically controlled.

Consumer reports says it all. The G is the class leader in virtually every way.

Thanks

Thanks for your replies. I'm convinced the wait will be worth it. I'm trying to sell our home and will be moving to Northern New Castle County, DE. There's an award winning dealer within 5 miles in West Chester, PA. The more I learn about the marque and this car, the more I like it.
