G37x Coupe preview... yes, AWD coupe.

I can only assume Infiniti's marketing team concluded a manual trans on a $40K car (base price) would not be an highly sought after vehicle so they saved their R&D expense into developing one??
Seriously, i think infiniti is missing the boat by not offering a 6MT AWD car. I bought my G35x specifically for the AWD. I wanted a 6-spd coupe, but what it came down to was me being able to get around in snow. I know snow tires help out, but AWD and snow tires help out even more.
So yes, now the G37x coupe is a feasable option for me in the future barring me having a couple babies. I just wish i could get it with a 6-spd.
But ouch....3800 pounds????

What a lot of you fail to realize is that the G37x Coupe is a niche market car. It's simply a way for Infiniti to extend the option of their two door to buyers who live in cold climate regions. Because the take rate of the G37x Coupe will be much lower compared with the 2WD G37 Coupe, you save a lot of money by offering fewer configurations, or rather, offering only the most common configuration. Journey A/T w/o Sport. Hence no M/T. All of Infiniti's current AWD offerings come with an A/T so from a cost standpoint, it does NOT make sense to retool their lines for an M/T for just one vehicle.
