Sedan's never been faster than the coupe. Nor has the Coupe been faster than the Sedan [pertaining to acceleration itself]. At least no significant differences.

Funny how everyone claims this and that with little or no experience

they do the math on paper, and think that driving doesn't factor into the equation...

You must have forgotten the concept coupe and the changes that appeared on the G37. Those changes were subtle but it was enough to hurt the overall design of the G37. Don't get me wrong, the G37 looks good but it could have looked better as the concept.

Uhhhhhh...

Why are you guys turning this into a G Sedan vs. Coupe waste of space?

This concept foreshadows something much more upscale than the G range for Infiniti. This is a representation of a lux-coupe in the M/Q range to compete with the Merc E-coupe, Beemer 6-series, AM Vantage, etc.

Let's not completely miss the point, shall we?

Having driven a stock coupe and a stock sedan on a race track.... I can tell you there is most definitely a difference. Suspension, tires, Brembos, ride height, body roll, balance, and acceleration. I don't know about these 1/4 mile stats, by on a road course and AutoX the coupe is noticeably faster than the sedan stock for stock.

Then again what the heck do I know, I have a 03 G35 Coupe 280hp and my wife has a 05 G35 Sedan 280hp.

Which is why I said "pertaining to acceleration itself', meaning straight line.

Straight out of the dealer, the Coupe is definately more suited for the circuit track. The difference is noticeable.

To get back on topic...

There are so many people want this car to come out that its production is being written as fact...which of course it isn't, its a rumor. LOL

An Example: Autospies "Infiniti Essence coming in 2010"

Shouldn't that read, "Infiniti Essence rumored to be coming in 2010"? lol
